Ricke Fowler wants in on some of this sweet hightop action.
The momentum that started with Keegan Bradley’s Jordans is swelling to critical mass.
Have a look at Nike’s casually-styled Club Collection, and basically everything the company has created since; from Michelle Wie’s pink Blazers, to the Lunar Control 4, to the FlyKnits Brooks Koepka has been wearing.
Risks are being taken, but this isn’t a passing trend we’re looking at. It’s the future. Golf is changing from the ground up, and you should probably get used to it. You really don’t have a choice.
Given what we’ve seen over the last year or so, Rickie Fowler sporting a pair of PUMA hightops was basically a foregone conclusion.
The game, and very clearly its, fashion is changing – and while many of you over 40 won’t want to hear it, it’s changing for the bolder and the better.
The new looks are fresh, fun, and stylish. Most importantly they’re going to kick the door open to growth from within an entirely new demographic of golfers that value individual style, and individual personality too.
Golf’s khaki-wearing dinosaur generation is nearing extinction, celebrate the meteor that’s hurling towards us.
Retail Availability? Maybe…
For those looking to embrace the future right freaking now…sorry, the custom PUMA shoes and pants shown were made just for Rickie. No retail availability yet. That said, a giveaway is planned, and that at least hints at availability in a range of sizes (would PUMA really give you shoes that don’t fit?), so I suppose you never know.

I think it is great. I am older golfer and I always had a problem with the old click when younger but if we are going to keep the game growing we have to change with what the younger players want. I hear it all the time that it was the way it is and do not change. Some of the old suits that do not fit any more should let there tie down
