Fitzpatrick Brothers WITB (2026): Matt vs. Alex Golf Bag Comparison

Matt Fitzpatrick is the established Tour pro. Major winner, proven setup and a bag built on years of trust.

Alex Fitzpatrick is starting to carve out his own path and if his recent results are any indication, we’re going to be seeing a lot more of him.

What’s interesting is how different their setups already are.

One is built on familiarity and long-term trust. The other leans into versatility and more modern fitting trends.

Matt Fitzpatrick’s bag tells you exactly how he wants to play. There’s very little churn, very little experimentation and almost no sign of switching just for the sake of something new.

At the top of the bag, he keeps things consistent. The Mitsubishi Tensei Orange shaft profile runs through the driver and fairway woods which helps keep launch and spin predictable from club to club. He still has the Titleist GT3, the driver with the most wins on Tour in 2026.

He carries a split set of PING i210 irons and PING S55. These are clubs he trusts; they are not the latest releases.

Matt Fitzpatrick rounds things out with a traditional blade-style Bettinardi BB1 Fitz putter and the Titleist Pro V1x golf ball.

On the footwear side, Fitzpatrick has been with Skechers since 2022 and typically wears models from the GO GOLF Blade line.

The takeaway: This is a control-first bag built on familiarity. Nothing here is changing unless it needs to.

Alex Fitzpatrick’s setup feels more in line with where Tour equipment is trending. There’s a clear emphasis on versatility, especially when it comes to approach shots.

The biggest difference shows up in the fairway woods. Carrying a 3-wood, 7-wood and 9-wood gives him multiple launch windows and more stopping power into greens. That 9-wood, in particular, has become more common on Tour, and it’s a clear sign this bag is built to attack.

His irons are more current as well, using the Titleist T100 irons. They’re one of the most widely played models on Tour and offer a clean mix of control and consistency.

On the greens, he goes in a different direction than Matt with the Odyssey Ai-One #7 S. Like his brother, he plays the Titleist Pro V1x golf ball.

He’s been in NIKE apparel and footwear since turning pro, including the Pegasus line.

The takeaway: This is a more flexible setup with more built-in options, especially for long-range shots into the greens.

Final thoughts

This isn’t about one setup being better than the other.

If anything, it’s a reminder that there’s no single blueprint for building a golf bag, even at the highest level. Even between brothers.
