5 months agoI know there is many great fairways woods on the market but the one that stands out is the Callaway Big Bertha B21 . those who never play a 3 wood this is the club for you.. even better player can reap the rewards this club offers .Callaway can never top this model .

5 months agoI’ve carried a Gotcha ball retriever for years. When you’re a low handicapper you wouldn’t be caught dead with a ball retriever in your bag, UNLESS you can hide it! It also works great.
Santa bought me a Ping Pioneer Cart bag. 100% based on the recommendation. I love it!

5 months agoInterestingly, I haven’t taken much notice of your ‘most wanted’ tests, but actually game several of the items on your list. My handicap varies slightly either side of 10 and my swing speed is a constant 95mph, and I use TSi3 driver, Apex Pro irons, MG wedges and OG #1 stroke labs putter, so from my perspective, your ‘most wanted’ list is pretty much on the money. For reference, I also use Ping G425 hybrids which I think are so much better than anything else out there in terms of everything you need a hybrid to do, and vary between G425 and Cobra Radspeed fairways depending on the course.. And I’ve had an I Gotcha for years, and my wife uses Cobra Airspeed irons, so your ‘most wanted’ winners list gets my vote 🙂

5 months agoGreat Job MGS. I love the Unbiased, Data Driven approach to all of the products that made the list. Like previous comments, It would be great to have a review on grips. This is a big decision for most and one that you have to live with for a while. Having a little more knowledge beforehand would really help in making that choice.

5 months agoWhile I don’t take any issue with most any of the award winners here, I find it funny that almost all of these winners happen to be the most (or close to) the most expensive options for each category. Have you thought about putting this same list out with the same categories of the “best value”?

5 months agoThe Gotcha ball retriever has come in handy for me and my playing partners.

7 months agoi have several of these items and im very happy with them all
1. mizuno mp20 hmb, very good irons
2 garmin s62 watch, not played a round without it since i bought it back in march
3. sun mountain travel bag, makes traveling with your golf bag a pleasure
4. mizuno glove elite, very durable, comfortable for the price, plus great space on the wrist to accommodate my garmin watch easily
thanks for making these lists MGS, i will continue looking for advise here in your site!

7 months agoNot gaming ANY of the listed “winners”, but I do know from experience that Ping makes good cart bags, and I have a different Garmin watch that I love, but no winners for me (and I’m very happy with my equipment). I do second the comment about grips – we touch those on every single shot, so it would be nice to see more tests and reviews in that area.

7 months agoI have a The Ping Pioneer bag. FYI the the strap pass through if using on a driving cart do not line up, but if using a pull cart it’s ok. Also bag is getting a lot of wear at the back where it rests against the cart that area should be reinforced with some heavy Cordura nylon. The magnetic ball pouch is nice and I would like to see more of the magnetic closure features as long as they are strong magnets like this on has.

7 months agoI appreciate the work that goes in but this is just like the Golf Digest HOT LIST…….I think MGS should pivot and not go down this “commercialized” rabbit hole……”Most Wanted” is just another term for “Hot List” or whatever…..Im not a fan of this because of how its presented. I think it takes away from the work that actually goes into the decision making process.

7 months agoAt present I’m gaming none of these “most wanted” products. Doesn’t mean that the article doesn’t possibly make some interesting reading. For example, w/ all the major advertised OEM brands out there why were Srixon FW the most wanted?
I think you take articles/surveys such as these & read them for what they are, people’s opinions. I stopped looking at that hot list nonsense years ago because every club received either a gold or silver rating (they can’t afford to alienate their advertisers!).

7 months agoThey were the MOST WANTED based on the data. These are not based on surveys, but rather testing.

5 months agoPs: they do all their testing in house. It is not perception based, it is performance based. Performance from actual players. I will say this. Their is no site I trust more for true data and performance than My Golf Spy. Trust me when I say they are on the consumers side, which is you!!!

5 months agoActually, it is the furthest thing from a hot list which is why I always trust my golf spy before I make purchases on new golf items. They have no affiliation to the big names which means they can give true stats and data no matter who comes in first, they can post it, cause no one is paying them not to. My golf spy stays true to the customer which I personally greatly appreciate. Thanks my golf spy.

7 months agoWhat about the best grips? That’s a huge category that’s missing in the rankings.

7 months agoI agree, which ones retaing their tackiness the best, any with grip reminders, tapered, untapered, leather vs rubber, etc
