The Bottom Line

Do you have a fast or high swing speed? Well, you've come to the right place. The TaylorMade Qi10 LS driver placed in the Top 10 overall in our 2024 Most Wanted Driver test. Upon further evaluation, TaylorMade Qi10 LS is the best driver for fast or high swing speeds according to our data driven results. It isn't necessarily the best for a specific scoring category, but it ranks highly for distance and the second best driver for accuracy among faster swinging golfers. You can't beat a lethal combination of accuracy and distance potential. Check it out for yourself.

2024 Best Golf Driver Performance from the TaylorMade Qi10 LS

When it comes to low-spin drivers, it is really important to test performance like accuracy, forgiveness, and distance. That low spin helps us all feel like we can get a few extra yards of roll. We also know TaylorMade is notorious for producing high ball speeds. However, this all still comes down to accuracy. If a golf driver isn’t accurate, you will miss your target.

The TaylorMade Qi10 LS was not overly accurate in the 2024 Best Golf Driver test. However, when we break the data down and look at the high swing speeds specifically, we’ll see a different story.

With a second-place finish for accuracy in the high swing speed test, the Qi10 LS’s low launch and low spin made it a perfect choice for golfers who can generate speed.

Key Technology and Features

We would rather focus on performance and what testers had to say about the Qi10 LS than the technology used to create it. However, understanding a bit of what goes into driver technology can help you learn the difference between things like the Stealth models and the Qi10 models.

  • Multi-material construction: With a goal to increase inertia, the Qi10 LS was made as forgiving as possible while still allowing for low spin performance.
  • Tour level performance: The Qi10 LS is built for the better player, even the TaylorMade website calls this a Tour level driver, and that is reflected in the $629 price tag.
  • New Infinity Carbon Crown: The new Carbon Crown covers 97% of the total crown area to provide enhanced forgiveness.
  • Compact head with sliding weight design:  With a new structure, the innovative track system allows for more forgiveness than previous models.
  • 60X Carbon Twist Face: This is now the third generation of the 60X Carbon Twist face, the support structure in the clubhead helps to increase ball speed even on off-center hits.

What Testers Had to Say

Testers with faster swing speeds enjoyed what the Qi10 LS had to offer. With slower swing speed, players gravitated more toward the Qi10 Max. It’s important to note that sounds, feel, and looks were also highly rated among high-swing speed testers.

“Most consistent TaylorMade driver with keeping the spin down. I can see myself gaming this driver.”

“Setup is square at address, and the aesthetics are phenomenal overall. One of the best looking TaylorMade drivers.”

“Best looking and feeling driver that I can recall hitting in the past 5-6 years. Very impressive.”

What to Look Out For

Sometimes, even more important than what a driver does well is where it struggles. If you struggle with consistency in your golf shots, the TaylorMade Qi10 LS won’t be a great fit. It’s rated low in forgiveness, with a score of 6.4.

However, distance and accuracy are strong enough to bring the total review score to 9.8 for the highest swing speed players.

👍 Buy This If

You prioritize accuracy off the tee: TaylorMade Qi10 LS is one of the best drivers for accuracy in our high swing speed category. For 36% of our testers, Qi10 LS ranked in the Top 5 for our straight shot metric at high swing speeds.

You want distance off the tee: Similar to its accuracy ranking, TaylorMade Qi10 LS driver was in the Top 5 for 36% of our testers for total yards. Combine this with accuracy and you have the making of a phenomenal driver for faster swinging golfers.

👎 Don’t Buy This If

✖︎ You prioritize forgiveness and consistency: For us, forgiveness is how consistent a golf club is at producing similar shot metrics off the face. In our high swing speed category, TaylorMade Qi10 LS places in the bottom half of the field for our forgiveness scoring category. So, be wary if you expect this driver to be forgiving.

I have to agree, the qi10LS is a high swing speed beast. I used to game the og stealth+ with a ventus black, then tsr4, and now back to TM with the Qi10LS. I didn’t have the scary low spin results that some youtubers did, but I did have to pair the LS with a ventus tr blue 6x to get similar results of the og stealth+ with ventus black. TM has never been the most forgiving, but they’re consistently long and give the same results if you hit the ball well.
