I really wanted to like the Kjus Dexter Rain Jacket. It is lightweight, packable and works well in light rain. However, my jacket only lasted 6 rounds before the stitching tore under the left armpit from normal activity. I was expecting better quality from a premium brand like Kjus… especially at the $400 price point. Also, it only modestly breathable. Like all other rain gear in my experience, body moisture will accumulate on the inside of the jacket during use.

I had the opposite experience. I bought the Kjus Dexter in a half-zip and keep it in my bag. It has come in handy so many times for unexpected rain, saving my round! Have you called their customer service about the rip? They were helpful with an (admittedly) self-inflicted tear on my rain pants. They were replaced, no questions asked!
