TaylorMade Stealth Driver Review

Is carbon better than titanium? This TaylorMade Stealth driver review will let you know once and for all! In this video, we review the new TaylorMade Stealth Plus versus TaylorMade SIM 2.

We hit 18,000+ shots to give you the most comprehensive breakdown of total distance, carry and ball speed at three different swing speeds.

  • Low  swing speed = Up to 95 mph
  • Mid swing speed = 95-105 mph
  • High swing speed = 105-plus

Oh yeah, we also brought out the chop saw to crack open each head and compare what’s inside the Stealth driver.

So should you throw out that titanium driver? Watch to find out!

Always the best reviews from MGS. I don’t care for the look of this driver. I hate the red face and don’t like the sound. It has a strange feel to it for me. I have a Ping G425 Max driver and it’s the best driver I’ve ever had – don’t think I’ll be switching soon.

Most youtube content creater’s want me to believe there is “technology” in golf heads .. i didn’t see any technology come pouring out when it was cut. I didn’t see any technology in either head. “Technology” has to be one of the most overused words on earth in marketing. So, how is it possible to get more ball speed for slower swing speeds but not for higher swing speeds? Is that cor related or not? Did the swing speed change for the lower swing speed golfers b/t the two models?

18,000 shots and the facts are in. Most people should play the Stealth while the high swing speed golfers should keep the SIM2. Best two drivers on the planet bar none. I play the TM drivers and always find the fairway and am always longer than my golf buddies.

Thank you Mr TaylorMate spokesperson. Can you send me $400 (net of a of a new stealth driver less my trade in) so I can gain 5 yds.?

Is this data somewhat at odds with the most wanted data, where the Stealth didn’t seem that exceptional for distance?

The Taylormade Stealth + actually won BEST DISTANCE for this years test. Maybe you were thinking of a different driver. Here is the link: http://mygolfspy.com/2022-most-wanted-driver/

Sorry, I was looking at the reports for each swing speed bracket. where the Stealth Plus was highish but not outstanding. If one assumes the numbers correlate, then presumably the HD (which was notably longer than the Plus for slow swingers) would be even more recommended for us older folk? For selfish reasons (I have a Stealth and a Stealth HD which I am tossing up between) I’d love to see a test of all three heads. Your numbers seem to match those I’ve seen elsewhere where the Plus and the HD perform beyond expectations whilst the regular Stealth kind of lags. I was fitted into the regular Stealth over the Plus, but they didn’t consider the HD. because of natural draw. In my testing, however, the HD spins less, draws less, has a higher smash factor and goes slightly furthjer. It is a 9* vs the a 10.5.

H2h with the same shaft (tensei ck orange pro) 113ss the stealth+ lost 10 mph ball speed for me over my og sim same loft.

I honestly think the stealth plus might be the most over rated driver in recent times and won’t be looked back on fondly

Yes, I admit it was nerve-racking to watch the cutting of those two heads. I’ve tried both. I prefer the SIMM due to its closed head and has a flatter botton at address compared to the Stealth.
