I Tried This Shoe Cleaning Hack So You Don’t Have To

Name a worse feeling than dirtying your brand-new pair of golf shoes.

I’ll wait.

Recently, I took out a crispy white pair of Reebok Nano golf shoes. Rookie mistake playing in white. I returned to my home with my tail tucked between my legs; not because I didn’t play well, but because I wrecked my new pair of shoes.

Now my wife would probably prefer I downsize and just throw them away. But I figured why not try and give them a good ol’ scrubbing? Enter the RESHOEVN8R Signature Shoe Cleaning Kit.

The Process

I followed RESHEOVN8R’s recommendation for cleaning my shoes. First, I used the soft brush and cleaning solution to clean the upper, including the tongue and collar. I used the medium brush on the foam midsole. I also soaked the laces in the cleaning solution and used the soft brush to give those a good scrub.

After spending 10 minutes scrubbing the shoes, I threw them in the washing machine with one of RESHOEVN8R’s laundry pods.

After

I’m honestly impressed at how well the combination of the brushes and washing machine flushed out the dirt that was caked into my shoes. Are they perfect? No. Still a little dingy. But, overall, the 10 minutes I spent scrubbing and the 30-min wash cycle was well worth my time.

Pro tip: Don’t EVER put your shoes in the dryer. That’s a surefire way to melt the glue or warp the midsole.
