I’ve already watched all of these, most of them on the day they were released…which can either give you some insight into the influence YouTube is having on the game, or tell you that I have no life…or both.

      Gleaned from ChatGPT:

“The American Express, held from January 16 to 19, 2025, at the Pete Dye Stadium Course in La Quinta, California. The final round of The American Express garnered 232,000 viewers on the Golf Channel. This represents a significant decline from previous years, with 534,000 viewers in 2024 and 391,000 in 2023.

This downward trend in viewership has raised concerns within the golf community, prompting discussions about potential changes to enhance the sport’s appeal to audiences.”

So, the PGA Tour cannot even get 1/3 the viewers for a final round of a tournament in the winter months that a YouTube channel does.

Well, that’s LIVE viewing, versus YouTube’s view-whenever stats.
But either way, without star name players the PGA Tour viewing will be stagnant, regardless, and it’s was also on the pay-channel at GolfChannel as opposed to being on a free network station in the middle of the afternoon like it ought to be.
So the stats aren’t really comparable to how we used to watch golf 25 to 30 years ago before cableTV golf.
