Best Titleist Drivers of 2025 (Tested and Reviewed)

We tested 37 drivers in 2025, four of which are Titleists. The Titleist GT2 was the longest driver of 2025 and finished in the top five, the best for Titleist. If you are in the market for a new Titleist driver, we will review all the 2025 Best Driver testing results and help you find the best Titleist drivers for your game.

Best Titleist Driver of 2025: GT2

The Titleist GT2 claimed the top spot for distance in our 2025 test. The GT2 had the best total and carry distance of any other driver in our test. With an average total distance of 252.02 yards, it was more than 10 yards longer than the shortest driver in the test. If you want pure distance off the face, you’ll get it with the GT2.

But there’s a trade-off.

GT2 didn’t rate as highly for forgiveness. We measure forgiveness by looking at the consistency of the results the driver can produce. So if you’re looking for consistency, there might be better options.

Buy this if:

You want the longest driver. GT2 was the No. 1 driver for carry and total distance.

You care about looks, feel and sound. GT2 was rated highly among testers in subjective feedback.

Don’t buy this if:

You want consistency across the face. Forgiveness is not its strong suit and erratic shot patterns may show up without a proper fitting.

Titleist GT3

The Titleist GT3 offers a strong combination of distance and accuracy. It finished fifth in distance and 14th in accuracy overall. The GT3 model is known for being a lower-spinning driver with high levels of accuracy for tour players and higher swing speeds.

In our high swing speed test, it was the runner-up for best overall driver. Similar to the GT2, it’s not the most forgiving, ranking near the bottom of the list for forgiveness.

Buy this if:

You’re a high swing speed golfer who wants both distance and accuracy.

You want lower spin with a forward CG.

Don’t buy this if:

You need off-the-rack forgiveness. One of the worst drivers in the test for forgiveness.

You are a slower swing speed golfer who struggles to launch the ball high due to lack of spin.

Titleist GT4

The GT4 is another distance winner from Titleist in 2025. It’s the second-longest driver in the test, producing nearly the same distance outcomes as the Titleist GT2. Testers noted that the GT4 had a more penetrating ball flight and produced long distances off the tee.

However, the GT4 is not for everyone.

The GT4 scored near the bottom for accuracy. It’s a little better than the GT2 and GT3 for forgiveness. The GT4 has a smaller head shape that appeals to some testers. It also ranked as the best-sounding driver of 2025.

Buy this if:

You want to maximize distance off the tee. It’s the second-longest driver of 2025.

You like a smaller profile driver head and a club with great sound.

Don’t buy this if:

You need high levels of accuracy. The GT4 was one of the least accurate of 2025.

You don’t plan to go through a fitting. You’ll need one to dial in the accuracy in the GT4.

Titleist GT1

Overall, the GT1 driver struggled in our testing. While it is the most accurate of the GT drivers, it ranked near the bottom for distance and forgiveness. If you’re looking to prioritize accuracy, the GT1 could be an option but it will require a fitting to ensure you can get the distance and consistency you need.

Buy this if:

You need a driver that prioritizes accuracy. It’s the most accurate of the Titleist driver lineup.

Don’t buy this if:

You want distance. This is the shortest of the Titleist GT drivers we tested in 2025.

You want best-in-class forgiveness. This is the least-forgiving of all drivers in the test.

What about older Titleist models?

The results of the best golf driver testing of 2025 are not the only options if you want a Titleist driver. The Titleist TSR3 and TSR4 are alternatives.

Titleist TSR3 (3rd place 2024)

2024 Driver Test Results

2024 Driver Test Results

Which Titleist driver is best for you?

The best way to determine which Titleist driver is best for your game is to go for a fitting. However, if you want a general idea as to which models you should try, here are some helpful tips:

You want a balance of distance and accuracy: The Titleist GT3 ranked fifth overall for distance and 14th for accuracy. If you want a lower-spinning model with really strong performance for high swing speeds, this is it.

If you’re looking for distance: The Titleist GT2 is the longest driver in 2025. While it isn’t the most forgiving, if you struggle with getting yards off the tee, the GT2 could help.

You want a smaller head profile and lots of distance: The Titleist GT4 has a more compact head that produces high ball speeds and lots of distance.

Titleist drivers across all swing speeds

If you want more specific results about how the Titleist drivers performed at each swing speed, here are some important insights:

  • GT2 was the standout, scoring 9.6 overall at mid swing speed with the highest distance score (9.9) in that group.
  • GT3 ranked among the top overall performers at high swing speed, offering a strong blend of distance and accuracy.
  • GT4 delivered excellent distance across all swing speeds and quietly posted one of the top forgiveness scores at high speed.

I had a driver fitting a few months back. Tried everything. I am a higher spin player and wanted to knock some of that off. I hit the GT4 incredibly well. The smaller head looks really good to my eye. Sound is fantastic and the sweet spot is generous enough. A good fitting is usually surprising and you can’t guess what the top club for you will be.

Had the GT2. Hated it. It’s a muted tingy noise. Returned it for the G440 and I crush my G440 so much farther AND it’s more forgiving.

Total opposite for me. G440 10-20 yds less and slice biased and gt2 straighter, longer. With newton shaft which was the game changer for me. Shocked a 9 degree GT2 was what worked at end of fitting.

I have a complaint. I have been benefitting from the information and entertainment I get from My Golf Spy. I am one of your early subscribers to MGS.

But if you held a gun on me, I could not explain back to you what the difference is between accuracy and forgiveness as you use the terms. I keep trying to learn the difference from the way you define them but it has been impossible for me to really understand them.
None of my many teachers have ever thought I was slow to learn. I say, it is your fault, MGS, and you need to change the names of those testing categories to make them more self-explanatory, or get rid of the words “Accuracy” and “Forgiveness.” I’m sure someone at MGS can make sense of those two words but I’m sure your readers struggle. It’s on you, MGS, not your readers.

I have to say I found different results, but I was fully fitted and now have the GT3 in 10° with Ventus Red Velocore+ shaft. I’m in your lower 90-100mph swing speed bracket and have no issues launching. I guess it just goes to show the importance of being properly fit.

So the GT2 is the longest driver by 10 yards over the shortest driver. Well we all want to hit it long, but what is the scoring impact of those 10 yards based solely on data (not emotion)? At what point is 10 yards of distance more important than better accuracy or forgiveness. We need to have some context for this distance metric.

What is not in this discussion is that the 10th best driver in distance is only 2 yards shorter than number 1. Which is basically 0.8 percent shorter. So statistically insignificant. And 11-20 are only 5 yards shorter. So if I was in the market I’d pick the driver that was the most forgiving and accurate amongst the top 20. If you have a 90mph swing speed or lower these differences in distance will virtually disappear. The formula they use for rankings, 40% distance, 35% accuracy, 25% forgiveness, should be revised to 20% distance, 40% accuracy, 40% forgiveness.
