Which Odyssey Putter Is Best For You? (Based On 2025 Testing Results)

If you’re a brand-loyal golfer who plays only Odyssey putters, you’re in luck. We tested seven Odyssey models in 2025. We’ve pulled the results from the tests along with Odyssey’s own product details to help you decide which model might be best for your game.

Which one is for you?

The best overall mallet putter from Odyssey was the Ai-ONE 7, the blade was the Ai-ONE Milled Two T and the zero-torque was the Ai-ONE S2S Jailbird. If you want to look a little deeper into which one could be good for your game, here is what you should know.

Odyssey Ai-One #7 – A classic mallet shape available in multiple toe-hang options. Consistently strong across all distances with particularly good long-putt performance.

Odyssey Ai-One Milled Seven T – Precision-milled mallet with titanium insert for firmer feel. Best suited for players who want premium craftsmanship and stability, with a strong showing in long putts.

Odyssey Ai-One Milled Two T – Wider blade design with high stability. Performs well on long putts while retaining the look and feel of a blade.

Odyssey Ai-One #1 – Traditional blade shape with a clean, simple alignment setup. In testing, it produced the weakest short- and medium-range PuttView Handicap of the Odyssey group but still delivered solid long-putt performance.

Odyssey Ai-ONE S2S Jailbird – Center-shafted zero-torque design to help reduce face rotation. It delivered balanced performance across all distances, with slightly stronger results at short and medium range than the other zero-torque Odyssey models.

Odyssey Ai-ONE S2S DW – Wider double-wide blade with high MOI. One of the best long-putt performers in testing (-9.6) but ranked lower for short (-3.0) and medium (-3.3) putts. Ideal for players who struggle most with distance control from long range.

Odyssey Ai-ONE S2S Max Stripe – Distinctive striped alignment system in a high-MOI mallet. Testing showed its strongest numbers on long putts (-7.1) while shorter ranges trailed. A good fit for players who benefit from bold alignment visuals and already have confidence inside 10 feet.

Final thoughts

Odyssey putters showed strong performance at long range, particularly in the mallet and zero-torque designs. While some models traded off short-range consistency for distance control, the variety in shapes, alignment systems and inserts means there’s likely an Odyssey putter to fit almost any stroke style. Here are the complete results of the 2025 putter testing.

I’d like to see a chart of results like this for all putters tested this year. I looked around the website for one without success.

I just spent an hour, inside, with a variety of face balanced and zero torky putters, mostly Odyssey. I use an Odyssey Hot white Versa 12, the largest head they made at the time, I venture. My bottom line: the gold milled face. Or similar metal not synthetic face. This is the 3rd time I spent a while indoors in a store and came away the same conclusion each time. Now I am waiting for this newly opened LARGE store to get some inventory replenished, and hoping PXG adds a similar face to their ZT line.

Why does the AI ONE 2-ball DB not get a mention? Best alignment aid in the game (two white discs with a solid black line bisecting them) , Face-balanced and nicely-weighted that replaced a Scotty NP2 Notchback that I thought I’d play until I die.

It just jumped to #1 or 2 in my list, the milled face version. I have a synthetic face Odyssey Versa 12 but metal face works better for me.

I bought the S2S ai-one #7 cruiser about 2 months ago. It replaced a 10 year old conventional #7. This is a huge improvement to my putting. I’ve probably doubled the number of putts I make over 7 feet and a 25% gain inside 7 feet.

What would be most helpful if it at some point MGS could share their testing protocols, methodology and how the numbers were achieved and calculated. How do you define short, medium and long putts. How many testers were involved, how many putts, etc.

Just an MGS advertisement for Odyssey putters. Less than impressed with the “article”.
