Golfers tend to be brand loyalists. Even after testing equipment and seeing variations in data, many players are determined to stay with the brand of clubs they have always played. If you are a PING player or simply curious about how PING fared in our golf club testing, here are the best PING clubs of 2024.
Drivers

PING had a few drivers in the 2024 Best Golf Driver test. The clear standout is the PING G430 MAX 10K which won the title of best overall driver of 2024.
The G430 MAX 10K driver may be the straightest driver we have ever tested. It was the clear winner for the most accurate driver of 2024. The PING G430 MAX 10K was in the top five for accuracy for 31 percent of the test pool.
It may not be the longest driver in the test but, importantly, it is in the top 10 for forgiveness (or consistency).

The PING LST finished seventh in the overall driver test but was runner-up as the best for high-swing speed players. If you want to keep spin rates down but still hit accurate drives, it’s a good option to consider.
For golfers with low swing speeds, the PING G430 Max 10K won best overall but the PING G430 MAX was not too far behind. The G430 MAX was best for distance and the G430 MAX 10K best for accuracy.
For low-swing speed players, the PING driver lineup is strong.
Fairway Woods

The PING fairway woods didn’t compete quite like the driver did. The PING G430 LST took sixth place overall. It earned a top 10 for accuracy but distance and forgiveness fell just outside the top 10.
Having said that, an eight-place overall finish with 29 fairway woods tested certainly makes the LST a serious contender.
Hybrids

PING grabbed another “Best Overall”, this time in hybrid testing. The PING G430 was the best overall hybrid of 2024, defending its title from the previous year.
The PING G430 is an accurate hybrid that produces consistent performance for golfers of a wide range of abilities.
The icing on the cake is that the PING G430 was released last year so the pricing is down to $239.
Irons

We divide our golf iron testing into four categories: player’s irons, player’s distance irons, game-improvement and super game-improvement. PING did not win any of these tests outright but there were a few high finishers.
The PING I230 irons were the runner-up in the best player’s iron test. The i230 5-iron was the best 5-iron for 35 percent of testers. Another great thing about the i230 you rarely see in a player’s iron is its distance capability. Some testers said it borders on being a player’s distance iron.

In the player’s distance iron category, the PING I530 took third place overall. It ranks second overall for distance, a key component in a player’s distance iron. The PING I530 was also accurate even with this extra distance. The issue that pushed it out of a higher finish was its forgiveness factor.
Results were not as strong in the game-improvement and the super game -improvement categories. The PING G730 is the best super game improvement iron for distance but struggles with accuracy and forgiveness. The PING G430 was eighth out of 17 models in the game-improvement test.
Wedges

When golfers shop for new wedges, spin is at the top of their minds. The PING S159 is the best golf wedge of 2024 for spin. The spin performance in this wedge was so strong it helped it win the best overall wedge of 2024.
The S159 excels in our wet conditions testing. Accuracy and consistency were also strong performers.
Driving Irons

If you prefer a driving iron over a hybrid, the PING iCrossover is the best overall option.
The PING iCrossover is the best driving iron for accuracy, second-best for distance and third-best for forgiveness. It stole the show. In addition to being a great performer, the PING was also rated highly for subjective appeal.
Putters

Two PING putters held their own in the 2024 Best Blade Putter testing. The PING PLD Anser won third place for the best from 20 feet. The PING PLD Anser 2D earned fifth place from five feet.
Final Thoughts
PING had some strong performers in 2024, specifically in the driver, hybrid and utility iron categories. Good news! If you’re a PING player, there are plenty of choices in 2024. As always, we suggest a club fitting to make sure your brand loyalty is also helping your game to the fullest.

Club testing!?. I am here and read many articles. I appreciate that GS tries to present an unbiased opinion and does actual testing.
I guess I could be called a brand loyalist. Frankly my opinion is that all of the top brands produce quality equipment. It is also my opinion that within any top brand you can find a head/shaft combination that works for you. I appreciate a brand such as Titleist makes available as many heads and shafts as possible. In my last fitting of T-100’s I tested shafts that did not allow me to get even well struck shots high enough for a proper descent angle. Then others that produced shots that would balloon.
Forgiveness, accuracy, feel and distance are as much a product of the shaft as the head. I wound up with shafts in my irons that I never would have considered nor would you find then in a set of clubs sitting on the shelf. They also were not subject to a premium price.
