Best Golf Launch Monitor Under $1,000

With our 2024 Best Golf Launch Monitor testing complete, we can now break down some of the best budget options on the market. Two launch monitors for under $1000 stood out throughout the testing process: the Rapsodo MLM2PRO and the Square Golf HE Launch Monitor.

Rapsodo MLM2PRO

Rapsodo MLM2PRO_MW Personal Launch Monitors_2024

The Rapsodo MLM2Pro is the best launch monitor for under $1,000. It was a runner-up in last year’s testing and proved again in 2024 that it can compete with any new releases in the launch monitor space.

With our 2024 testing, we put a strong emphasis on accuracy. The Rapsodo MLM2PRO was the third-best launch monitor for accuracy. When buying a launch monitor, the accuracy of the model is almost always directly tied to the price.

The Rapsodo MLM2PRO is also extremely portable and sleek and it has golf simulation ability that takes just a few minutes to set up either indoors or outdoors.

The one downside to the Rapsodo MLM2Pro is that capturing spin data is only available with Callaway or Titleist Rapsodo Precision Technology (RPT) golf balls.

MyGolfSpy Score: 97.0

Square Golf HE Launch Monitor

The Rapsodo MLM2PRO is the clear winner for the best golf launch monitor under $1,000.

However, if you think it’s not a fit for you, another option is the Square Golf HE launch monitor. The price is about the same but the accuracy scoring wasn’t as high.

The Square Golf HE ranks 10th for accuracy but it was within three percent of accuracy for ball speed when compared to the Foresight GCQuad.

The Square Golf HE launch monitor is for indoor use only and it comes with dedicated marked golf balls. You’ll find that this model is portable and easy to use.

MyGolfSpy Score 92.25

What does a little more money get you?

We set price points in golf launch monitor technology at $500, $1,000 and $5,000. Before you make any purchase, it’s always smart to see if spending just a little more could get you significantly more features or even save you money down the road.

While we think the Rapsodo MLM2PRO is a perfect launch monitor for under $1,000, the Bushnell Launch Pro is about $750 more and was the most accurate launch monitor of 2024. The Bushnell Launch Pro is an option if you feel pinpoint accuracy is your priority.

For golfers who demand accuracy both indoors and outdoors the Bushnell Launch Pro is the best option on the market. It's easy to use, regardless of the lighting. Testers noted that the Bushnell Launch Pro is very similar to the Foresight GC3 in size, design and layout (with a much lower price tag).

Question about the Square Golf Launch Monitor – did you use the dotted balls included with the device? The big multi-device review from last month doesn’t include that detail (just that RCT balls were used for the MLM2pro). That could affect the accuracy measurements.

One thing to note about the MLM2 is that while it can simulate basically any course, they’re just generated from GPS data or something. So you can play Pebble Beach, but the cliff sides are just vertical grass, the beach is grass, and the trees kinda look like pine trees. I love the thing, but temper your expectations on that front.

      Those are indoor ones.
      What about outdoor ones?
      Thanks

The MLM2 Pro can be used outdoors. The Square LM is indoors only.
