PING G430 MAX 10K Driver

PING’s G430 MAX 10K continued the brand’s reputation for stability and forgiveness. It finished second overall in MyGolfSpy’s 2025 driver test, showing exceptional consistency across all swing speeds. The 10K’s ultra-high MOI design helped off-center hits stay online and testers repeatedly noted its predictability under pressure. While not the longest model in the field, it offered one of the tightest dispersion patterns, a reminder that distance isn’t everything when fairways actually matter.

PING G440 LST

The G440 LST rounded out the overall driver podium thanks to its combination of low spin and playable launch. It produced efficient ball flights for faster players without punishing slight misses, giving it broad appeal. For golfers who generate plenty of speed but struggle to control spin, the LST provided measurable gains in accuracy and consistency compared to higher-spinning heads.

PING G440 SFT

Among high and low swing-speed testers, the G440 SFT was MyGolfSpy’s most accurate driver. Its heel-weighted design and lighter overall build delivered consistent draw bias without feeling overly closed. Testers praised how easy it was to square at impact, a major reason it ranked as one of the best dispersion-control drivers across the entire field. For slicers or players fighting an open face, it quietly became a difference-maker.

PING G440 MAX Fairway Wood

The PING G440 MAX earned Best Overall Fairway Wood of 2025 and it’s easy to see why. It was one of the most consistent performers across all categories including distance, accuracy and forgiveness. The G440 MAX delivers reliable ball speed and launch conditions that hold up swing after swing. Testers highlighted how stable it felt through impact and how predictable its flight window was from turf and tee.

PING G440 Hybrid

The G440 Hybrid carried PING’s hallmark forgiveness into the scoring-club range. It finished among the top three most accurate hybrids in testing, thanks to its balanced launch and stable face. Testers highlighted its ability to hold target lines. For golfers who rely on hybrids for long-approach control, it proved to be one of the most dependable options of the season.

PING iDi

PING’s new iDi utility iron surprised testers with its strong distance and controlled launch. It finished as the runner-up for distance while maintaining above-average forgiveness numbers, rare in this category. It bridged the gap between a true driving iron and a forgiving long iron better than most.

PING Scottsdale Prime Tyne 4

In the mallet category, the Scottsdale Prime Tyne 4 quietly secured third overall. Its stability through impact and repeatable roll pattern made it one of the most consistent performers across multiple distances. It excelled on mid to long putts. The dual-prong design framed the ball cleanly and helped testers start putts on line with confidence.

PING Scottsdale Anser

A familiar shape that still delivers, the Scottsdale Anser earned a runner-up call-out for medium-length putts in MyGolfSpy’s 2025 blade test. It excelled from 10 to 20 feet, producing repeatable roll and predictable distance control. The feel was classically soft yet responsive.

PING user here – my first attraction to PING had nothing to do with the equipment, although I knew it was a major OEM, but more the family story, family ownership, the fact they didn’t release a new driver 3 times a year, low level of marketing buzz, etc. That reason still exists of course, but with their equipment that is excellent in all aspects of the game (this article doesn’t mention it but their wedges also did very well last year), the decision for me continues to be an easy one – I stick with PING. I don’t have a 100% PING bag (putter and some wedges are other name brands instead), but PING does so many things right without telling you that it does.
