Informative article. But, respectfully speaking, why would a “beginner” need a $425 launch monitor, a $270 Ping stand bag and a $600 new Ping driver? That’s well over $1,300 of stuff for someone who may not even continue in the game. So I’m not sure why such costly & superfluous items would even be recommended for a beginner. I introduced my neighbor to the game. He was fitted for & bought a set of used Ping irons & an older Ping driver & putter at second swing, all for well under $500.
You did say lessons though. I would absolutely, positively stress lessons. That should be number ONE on a beginner’s priority list.
