Price isn’t a ranking factor when we do our spiked and spikeless golf shoe testing. We look for the best shoes, period, and there are no bonus points for being affordable. If you are on a budget and think any of the shoes on the list are out of your league, think again. We have two spikeless and one spiked model with good results (over 92.25/100) priced less than $100. These include the Skechers Go Golf Max 3, FootJoy Pro Lite and the Skechers Torque Sport 2.
Skechers Go Golf Max 3

Who Is It For?
✅ Golfers looking for lightweight comfort: This shoe has excellent cushioning without too much extra weight.
✅ Players who stay on the course when the weather gets a little dicey. Water resistance in this affordable Skechers Go Golf Max 3 can help when the rain starts.
Who Is It Not For?
❌ Anyone who needs torsional support to be stable. The shoe sits a little high.
❌ Players who prefer a more traditional leather golf shoe look and feel.
Why Buy
The Skechers Go Golf Max 3 is the best-value spikeless golf shoe of 2024. It didn’t earn this spot just because of its value. From a performance standpoint, the Go Golf Max 3 competed with some of the other top shoes in the market.
With the Skechers Go Golf Max 3, you’ll get lightweight and responsive cushioning. Our testers also appreciated the arch support. One of the big surprises for us about the Skechers Go Golf Max 3 was the traction—it had some of the best we saw across the entire test.
These are water-resistant, not waterproof, shoes, which seems fair for the price. They also feature excellent ventilation to keep you cool during summer rounds.

The bottom line is that finding spiked golf shoes for less than $100 is a challenge but the Skechers Go Golf Torque Sport 2 nailed it.

Why Buy

If the name didn’t give it away, the ProLite is a lightweight shoe known for its comfort. Its flexibility can sometimes diminish the support you feel while wearing it, so be aware of that.
This FootJoy ProLite offers a full, rounded toe and a slightly narrow heel. The upper part of the shoe is water-resistant, so it can be worn for an early morning round.
