❌ Golfers who want something light: Cart bags sit on the cart, so weight really only matters when loading and unloading; however, the DLX is on the heavier side.
Why Buy
The PING DLX is the best cart bag of 2024. It has great dividers, zippers, and pockets. We couldn’t find anything bad to say about the DLX. Testers were particularly impressed with the strap pass-through system. In addition, the hidden shoe pockets were also a great feature that stood out to testers.

❌ Golfers who use a large putter grip. The putter well on the Traverse is not all that large.
Why Buy
The PING Traverse won the best lightweight cart bag of 2024. If you want a cart bag that is easy to lug around and manage, the Traverse is a great choice. As we saw from other PING bags in 2024, the Traverse has great zippers, bag quality, and attention to detail.
Some testers felt it was a little small, but that’s where you can move to the heavier DLX if needed. The Traverse may not be rated as high as the DLX, but it’s a great bag with many of the same features. One other positive the Traverse has going for it is the price; it’s about $65 cheaper than the DLX.

Disappointed PING gave up on the Hoofer Craz-E Lite stand bag. I’ve used the previous model for 3 seasons, and was looking forward to their new iteration. Any recommendations on an upgraded ultralight stand bag to replace it? Have been considering the Sun Mountain 2.5

Jon, you’re in luck! Ping just released the Moonlander which looks to be a replacement for the plagued Craz-E-Lite Bag. This one is 4.5 lbs. and has more robust 4-way divider and handle along with a more user-friendly looking setup that a cross between a Moonlite and the L8 bag. I have one on my Christmas list!
