Fairway woods are often thought of as versatile, accurate clubs for approach shots or tee shots on tight holes. But, let’s be honest, most golfers still want to know which fairway woods are the longest. The extra yards to reach par-5s in two or set up shorter approaches into long par-4s are well worth it.
Based on results from our 2025 Fairway Wood Test, here are the three longest models of the year: the TaylorMade Qi35, Callaway Elyte and COBRA DS-Adapt LS.
TaylorMade Qi35

The TaylorMade Qi35 ranked as the longest fairway wood in MyGolfSpy’s 2025 testing, posting an average carry of 213.5 yards and a total distance of 227.1 yards.
What sets the Qi35 apart is raw speed. With the highest average ball speed (134.05 mph) of any model tested, it produced a strong, penetrating ball flight and plenty of rollout. However, there are trade-offs. While distance was elite, its accuracy score (8.2/10) lagged.
Buy this if:
✅ You want the longest fairway wood of 2025.
✅ Ball speed and total distance are your top priorities.
Don’t buy this if:
❌ You value forgiveness and dispersion control more than raw yardage.
Callaway Elyte

The Callaway Elyte ranked as the second-longest fairway wood in MyGolfSpy’s 2025 testing with an average carry of 211.4 yards and a total distance of 225.5 yards. It trailed the Qi35 by less than two yards.
The standout trait of the Elyte is its balance of speed and spin control. With an average ball speed of 133.75 mph and one of the lowest spin rates in the test (2,849 rpm), it delivered plenty of rollout without ballooning.
The only problem is that the forgiveness score (7.6/10) was one of the lowest. It’s not the most consistent fairway wood.
Buy this if:
✅ You want a long, low-spinning fairway wood.
✅ You prioritize carry plus rollout over forgiveness.
Don’t buy this if:
❌ You need maximum stability and forgiveness on off-center strikes.
COBRA DS-Adapt LS

The COBRA DS-Adapt LS ranked as the third-longest fairway wood in MyGolfSpy’s 2025 testing, averaging 209.1 yards of carry and 223.4 yards total distance.
This is a low-launch and low-spin profile. You’ll notice a flatter, more penetrating flight that favors players with higher swing speeds.
However, its forgiveness score, similar to the Callaway Elyte (7.7/10), was also among the lowest, meaning it punishes misses more than some other fairway woods.
Buy this if:
✅ You want a long, low-spin fairway wood that maximizes rollout.
✅ You generate plenty of speed and want a penetrating flight.
Don’t buy this if:
❌ You need forgiveness and launch help to get the ball airborne.

Any reason the Elyte Titanium was not in this list? It is far longer than any fairway wood I have hit.
