How Golf Pants Were Ranked
Golf pants were tested in the real world—on and off the course—and examined for comfort, stretch, fit and features. Price and availability were also considered.
Best Overall Golf Pant – Lululemon Commission Golf Pant
👍 Buy This If
► You value comfort. The Lululemon Commission Golf Pants are light, stretchy and comfortable.
► You want utility. The zippered golf ball pocket and tee pocket make these pants versatile and useful.
👎 Don’t Buy This If
✖︎ You are looking for a budget option. Lululemon Commission Golf Pants start at $148 (though you can catch them on sale occasionally)
✖︎ You’re rough on your clothes. The Lululemon Commission Golf Pants are prone to pilling.
Bottom Line
The Lululemon Commission Golf Pants are flat-out comfortable. They’re stretchy, light and breathable. I’m a big fan of the side-mounted zipper pocket (great for golf balls) and the small, nested tee pocket. Couple the utility with the great tapered fit and you’ve got a fashionable and functional garment.
Runner-Up – Vuori Meta Pant
👍 Buy This If
► You value comfort. The Vuori Meta Pants have the perfect amount of stretch – great for golfing or lounging.
► You want something durable. The Vuori Meta Pants feature sturdy construction that’s built to last.
👎 Don’t Buy This If
✖︎ You are looking for a budget option. At nearly $130, the Meta Pants are on the pricey side.
✖︎ You lose stuff easily. The lack of zippered pockets is not ideal.
Bottom Line
The Vuori Meta Pants are well constructed and very comfortable. I found the fit to be very flattering, too. The Meta Pants can be dressed up or dressed down depending on the occasion. I would have liked to see a zipper pocket or two, though. I’m a big fan of the angle of the pockets which makes it much easier to get into.
Best Value Golf Pant – 32 Degrees Stretch Woven Pant
👍 Buy This If
► You’re balling on a budget. The 32 Degrees Stretch Woven Pants provide incredible value at less than $20
► You value stretch. These budget golf pants provide plenty of stretch in all directions.
👎 Don’t Buy This If
✖︎ You value durability. The 32 Degrees Stretch Woven Pants don’t feel as durable as some.
✖︎ You need a shorter inseam. These pants run long and inseam is based on waist size which limits your options overall.
Bottom Line
The 32 Degrees Stretch Woven Pants are the best value golf pants. Period. For less than $20, you’re getting comfortable, lightweight golf pants with the right amount of stretch. For that price, it’s easy to overlook the less-than-stellar fit and potential durability issues.
Best Mid-Priced Golf Pant: CRZ All-Day Comfort Golf Pant
👍 Buy This If
► You’re constrained by budget. The $45 CRZ All-Day Comfort Pants are very friendly on the wallet
► You want Lululemon vibes. These pants are basically a Lululemon Dupe. They’re darned close in quality and construction.
👎 Don’t Buy This If
✖︎ You want infinite stretch. The CRZ All-Day Comfort Pants are stretchy but not as stretchy as some others.
✖︎ You need a waistband with give. These golf pants don’t offer much forgiveness in the waist section.
Bottom Line
The CRZ All-Day Comfort Pants would steal the best value award if not for the 32 Degrees Stretch Woven Pants. They are incredibly well-built and very similar to the Lululemon ABC Pants (not reviewed here). Overall, I would have liked a little more stretch. But considering the $45 price tag, you can’t really fault the CRZ All-Day Comfort Pants.
Most Comfortable Golf Pant – FreeFly Tradewind Pant
👍 Buy This If
► Comfort is your No. 1. The FreeFly Tradewind Pants are oh-so-soft.
► You want a slimmer overall fit. These pants have a more tailored fit, great for someone with an athletic to thin build.
👎 Don’t Buy This If
✖︎ You’re a little messy. The Tradewind Pants can be susceptible to stains.
✖︎ You love utility. No zippered pockets to be found.
Bottom Line
The FreeFly Tradewind Pants are the most comfortable golf pants. They provide sweatpants-level comfort in a package that’s more than appropriate for the golf course. The side-angled pockets provide easy access to all of your golf goodies but a zippered pocket or two would have been nice.
Best Premium Golf Pant – Bonobos Highland Tour Pant
👍 Buy This If
► You’ve got cash to spend. The Bonobos Highland Tour pants are at the top end of the price spectrum.
► You value style. These pants are more dressy and tailored than other golf pants.
👎 Don’t Buy This If
✖︎ You love to lounge. While the Bonobos Highland Tour Pants are comfortable, they’re more similar to dress pants than sweatpants.
✖︎ You need to try before you buy. Bonobos clothing is not sold in big box golf shops.
Bottom Line
The Bonobos Highland Tour Golf Pants are exceptional. They’re stretchy and durable. I’m a big fan of the button-snap closure and the multiple zippered pockets. Bonobos offers different “fits” too so whether you’re an athletic build or prefer a straight pant, they’ve got what you need.
Best Lightweight Golf Pant – FootJoy Tour Pant
👍 Buy This If
► You want freedom of movement. The FJ Tour Pants are stretchy and light.
► You run hot. The Tour Pants are extremely breathable.
👎 Don’t Buy This If
✖︎ You’re a fan of bright colors. Their color options are more subdued than most.
✖︎ You want a tailored fit. The Tour Pants are a little baggy around the leg.
Bottom Line
The FootJoy Tour Pants are solid golf pants. They provide excellent comfort in a lightweight package. The side pockets are a must and the silicone waistband makes it easy to keep your shirt tucked in. I did find the Tour Pants to be less tailored than I’d like, even for a guy with big thighs like me.
Best Golf Jogger Pants – FootJoy HYPR Performance Jogger
👍 Buy This If
► You value comfort above all. The HYPR Golf Joggers fit and feel like sweatpants.
► You’re a trendsetter. The switch to joggers is the trendy way to spruce up your golf wardrobe.
👎 Don’t Buy This If
✖︎ You want options. The FJ HYPR Golf Joggers are offered in only two colors.
✖︎ You want something dressy. While appropriate for the course, the HYPR Golf Joggers don’t pair well with a more dressy dinner fit.
Bottom Line
The FootJoy HYPR Golf Joggers are the best golf jogger pants. They’re comfortable, fit well and are more trendy than your typical golf pants. I loved the comfortable cuffs and found the length to be perfect for my 6’2″ frame. That said, they don’t look as refined as something like the Primo Golf Joggers.

They don’t count as “golf pants” but check out the Wrangler ATG (All Terrain Gear) pants. They work while on the course or hiking. They have the stretch waist (always appreciated) and are around $30. You can’t go wrong with them.
