Everyone Would Benefit From Trying This Golf Shoe

Close your eyes.

Today, we’re doing a blind shoe test.

Here, put this one on your right foot, and this one on your left. How do they feel? What do you notice? Which one feels better?

The one on the right? Yeah, that’s what I thought. Open your eyes and take a look at what you’re wearing.

I’ve got a theory.

In a blind test, the Skechers Blade Tour would beat out most, if not all, of the competition. And after winning the award for Best Spiked Shoe of 2026, that theory has cemented itself as not just an idea, but a reality.

The fact of the matter is that I can’t name a single damn human on the planet that wouldn’t benefit from trying the Skechers Blade Tour. Here’s why.

[adthrive-in-post-video-player video-id=”dHO6jfYU” upload-date=”2026-03-19T15:50:10+00:00″ name=”Skechers Blade Tour” description=”” player-type=”default” override-embed=”default”]

It’s as comfy as your favorite recliner

If you look up the word “comfort” in the dictionary, you’re sure to see “Skechers” listed as a synonym. Each year that we test golf shoes, testers are amazed at how comfortable Skechers golf shoes are.

With the Skechers Blade Tour, they took comfort to new heights with the addition of a HYPER BURST PRO sockliner.

WTF is HYPER BURST PRO and why should you care? It’s Skecher’s flagship foam tech, the same one used in its marathon shoes. It’s a supercritical foam that’s ultralight and responsive. For you, that means more step-in comfort, less weight and better energy return overall.

The rest of the shoe sits atop a more stable ECO FLIGHT midsole.

The Hands Free Slip-In technology has come a long way

When I first slipped into a pair of Skechers Slip-Ins a few years ago, I felt the fit was a little wonky. Now that they’ve been working on the tech for a few years, the fit is noticeably better.

The general concern for me was always, “If I can slip into it without touching it, how will my heel stay in place during the swing”?

The Skechers Blade Tour fits like a glove, thanks in large part to the integrated heel pillow. Once you slip into this pair, you’re locked in from the jump.

The upper is much better

Past iterations of Skechers’ flagship TOUR golf shoes have felt plasticky, mostly due to an upper made from primarily TPU. This year, the Skechers Blade Tour has a Clarino microfiber upper, giving the Blade Tour a leather-like look and feel.

It feels, flexes and performs much better than past iterations. And it feels much more premium than its $165 price tag.

It’s rocking performance “tires”

Top it all off (or bottom it out) with the tested Tour Flex pro spikes and you’ve got yourself a real winner. I do think Skechers could have added another two spikes to the heel. That said, the Blade Tour provides legit traction in wet or dry conditions.

A complete performer

So, how does one take the crown as the Best Spiked Golf Shoe of 2026 against tough competition? It’s pretty simple. Make a comfortable, stable golf shoe with great traction and waterproofing to go along with it.

All right, it ain’t that simple. But Skechers pulled it off with the Blade Tour. It’s the brand’s most complete golf shoe to date. And it’s the one golf shoe that every golfer should try if they get a chance.

Yes, that means you.

Hey Sketchers, if you’re listening, could you make any of these in a 14 except the sorry drab gray ones? The green are really sharp and too small… The gray, boring AF. Maybe next time around…

Connor, every foot is different, both in terms of structure, aging, and other factors. To proclaim that what shoe feels and works best on your foot would be so for everyone is quite a sophomoric statement. Love your enthusiasm, but be real…

Can you give us some guidance on good spiked golf shoes that you can wear in the heat? Aka mesh or breathable?
