First Look: Uneekor EYE MINI LITE

Launch monitor options like Trackman, Foresight GCQuad and even the Uneekor Eye XO 2 are designed for those with deep pockets and a drive for perfection. What about the rest of us who want to play a virtual round on a rainy day or hit the range (in our basement) when it’s snowing? The new Uneekor EYE MINI LITE could be the answer.

Who’s Uneekor?

Uneekor is not new to the launch monitor market. They have a strong footprint in the golf market in Korea and more than 14 years of experience. The company started as a project by an engineer looking to enhance his golf skills through technology.

It worked.

Uneekor technology is known for high-quality simulation, offering detail and precise data. Among serious golfers, it’s known as one of the best options out there.

The New Kid In Town

The Uneekor EYE MINI LITE is the latest release. It features dual cameras and infrared sensors for ball and club data measurements.

With a focus on ease of use, the Uneekor EYE MINI LITE (built for indoor use) can work right out of the box as long as you have a PC to set it up and a power source. You’ll be golfing within a few minutes—not something that can be said for all launch monitors.

Uneekor says, “the EYE MINI LITE is designed to make golf more accessible for everyone without the need for complicated setup and installation.”

The Uneekor works with golf simulator software like E6 Connect and GSPro.

Maybe the most important selling point here is the $2,749 price. The concept is high-quality golf simulation available to a wide range of players.

What About The Data?

The more accurate the data, the better your simulated round of golf. The Uneekor EYE MINI LITE provides detailed metrics and gives ball and club data.

Ball Data:

  • Ball Speed
  • Back Spin
  • Side Spin
  • Side Angle
  • Side Distance
  • Launch Angle
  • Carry Distance
  • Distance to Apex
  • Apex
  • Flight Time
  • Ball Flight Type
  • Spin Axis
  • Angle of Descent
  • Run
  • Total Distance

Club Data:

  • Club Speed
  • Attack Angle
  • Smash Factor
  • Club Path

Pricing – The Full Story

While we’ve established that the Uneekor EYE MINI LITE is less than $3,000, we also have to consider ongoing fees. The free version allows you to access ball data points, club data points, a single profile and 15 sessions.

From there, you can upgrade to the $199-a-year package which provides 100 sessions and some additional reporting (no additional data). Finally, the Champion Package gives you 500 sessions.

What is a Uneekor “session”? A session is data on a golf shot that includes video. If you hit a few balls at the Uneekor range and record it, that’s a session. If you don’t want to upgrade to the more expensive packages, you can delete sessions to make room for others.

Sessions seem to be used most by those who are looking for game improvement and to track progress over time.

Final Thoughts

Please note that we have not yet tested the Uneekor EYE MINI LITE. It will have some tough competition in our Best Launch Monitor test against last year’s winner, the Bushnell Launch Pro. Uneekor has a strong reputation for providing accurate data for good players. Hopefully, the compact EYE MINI LITE still offers the precision the higher-end Uneekor models are known for.

Man these companies love sucking S much money from their clientele as possible. They want us to spend $2800 on this device, and then spend an additional monthly/yearly fee for more data and stuff that doesn’t cost the manufacturer anything extra to provide because it’s all automated? Why are golfers and business owners okay with this?
