A few months ago, adidas revamped their popular CODECHAOS line with the new CODECHAOS 25 BOA. It was a first for the brand, launching their signature shoe with the BOA closure system.
BOA is one of those things you either love or hate. Obviously, we’ve got some staffers that swear by it. That said, I’m typically a fan of the tried and true laces. Finally, adidas has launched the laced version of the CODECHAOS 25 and I couldn’t be more excited.
Look for my performance review coming soon. In the meantime, I’ll recap the tech that went into the CODECHAOS 25 and why I think it’s poised to be adidas best spikeless shoe ever.
Key features of CODECHAOS 25
- Lightstrike+ and BOOST midsole (dual foam setup)
- Recycled mesh/jacquard upper with waterproof coating
- INSITE sockliner
- TWISTGRIP spikeless traction
The CODECHAOS line has obviously been successful. It was the best spikeless shoe of 2023, afterall. Rather than reinvent the wheel, adidas made a few key changes (adding Lightstrike+, retooling the TWISTGRIP traction) to ensure that CODECHAOS 25 is the best CODECHAOS ever.
You can pick up the laced version (and BOA) now at adidas.
