The Cult Classic adidas Shoe You Need In Your Closet

Before the adidas Samba became the hottest sneaker of the 2020s, it was a football (or fútbol) shoe designed to provide grip in icy conditions.

But that was 1950. Fast forward to this century, the Samba as been worn for just about anything and everything. This streetwear icon has even made its way to the golf course, a fitting “return” to its performance roots of providing multidirectional grip.

In late 2022, adidas brought the Samba golf shoe mainstream. A few months later, they released the OG white colorway. Now they’re bringing out my personal favorite. Let’s extend a warm welcome to the OG black Samba golf shoe.

Highlighted by a gum sole and bright blue tongue tag, this Samba is a near one-for-one cosmetic recreation of the Brand with Three Stripes’ most recognizable silhouette. Of course, there are some performance differences to accommodate the putting green rather than the soccer pitch.

The Samba golf shoes feature a recycled synthetic upper and a retooled spikeless rubber outsole. They won’t blow you away with performance but they will make you the most stylish golfer on the course (unless, of course, you see me on the range).
