Gnome Run: Waggle Drops New Masters-Themed Azalea Collection

Can you feel it? Can you see it? Everyone’s favorite April tournament is fast approaching.

For most of us who won’t make it to Augusta National this year we’re left to rely on Masters-themed merchandise to fill the void.

Thankfully, there is plenty of splurge-worthy gear to get you in a Georgia state of mind.

Case in point, the new Azalea Collection from Waggle. As the nomenclature (or should I say, “gnomenclature”) suggests, this limited drop from Waggle hits on the typical Masters color scheme with a few extra goodies to boot.

The story behind the design makes it that much better.

“This year’s collection is so much fun,” said Jacob Kohner, Waggle Golf Product Design Manager. “It all started with the grounds crew. You always hear about how pristine the course conditions are at Augusta. ‘No blade of grass out of place.’ But how do they really do it? I just had this crazy idea about the gnomes doing it … escaping from their boxes at night to dig each hole location, water the azalea flowers, cut every blade of grass to an exact length with a scissor.”

Gnomes? The little guys that guard the garden at the cranky old lady’s house down the street? Nah. These gnomes are outfitted in the classic caddie bibs and sport a more friendly face.

The Azalea Collection consists of four flagship pieces: two Waggle hats, a polo and a crewneck. Each piece is dressed down in green and yellow, fit for enjoying a frosty one on the couch or, if you’re lucky, Augusta National Golf Club.

This limited drop is available first to email subscribers on March 6. A release to the general public will take place March 13 at Waggle.

I can get behind gnomes. I like it, lol.

Haha, they have a Golfin’ With Squatch Polo as well.
