These shoes are freakin’ sexy!
FootJoy just dropped the first of three Legend Series capsules, and I’m in awe at what they’ve created.
Seriously, the FootJoy Premiere Series Marquis 1776 may be the sexiest golf shoe I’ve ever seen. And that’s coming from someone who owns close to 100 pairs.
Inspired by Philadelphia and the structures that shaped American history (i.e., the Liberty Bell), the first Legend Series drop is draped in supple grey and white leather and features a custom heel tab complete with a nod to that iconic bell. Yes, there’s a matching Premiere Series Packard if the wing-tipped Marquis isn’t quite your flavor.
Of course, the shoes still feature all of the FootJoy performance benefits you’ve come to expect. The result is a fully functioning piece of American art. Yeah, I said it. This pair deserves about every superlative you could throw at them.
And I’m not alone in that sentiment. So if you’re looking to snag a pair on May 12, you’d better come with a wallet in hand and your right hand over your heart.

Why do so many people use the word “sexy” to describe inanimate objects? You never hear people say anything like, “what a sexy hamster,” or “that’s a sexy sheep.” But putters, cars, golf shoes, etc., no problem. I never think of anything but humans of the opposite sex as “sexy,” but different strokes I guess.
