In 1975 Nicklaus won 5 times and made $300,000 for the year; made $40,000 by winning the Masters. Hoge shoots +12 and makes 48,000 in a no cut tourney.

$300K in 1975 when adjusted for inflation is $1.76 million in 2025, divide that by 5 events = $352,000 per event.
      $40,000 adjusted is $235,000

Why would you, or I, as fans, care about this?

Were you previously unsatisfied with golf because you felt golfers were underpaid?

I did not write this massive article about what players were paid.
