I’ve Been Calling This the Best Golf Hat for Years. Now It’s Even Better.

Say it with me.

“Finally!”

It’s funny, really. I’ve spent the last two years or so telling anyone and everyone that melin makes the best golf hats on the planet. I firmly believe that, and that much is evidenced by the number of inferior hats that have been displaced and left without a home in favor of their more premium counterparts.

But the thing I’ve heard time and time again from non-ball knowers is that they wish the little rubber melin logo (what they call the ThumbSeal) on the underbrim of the hat acted as a functional ball marker.

It’s a novel idea. And one that makes sense. Too much sense.

So much sense, in fact, that melin heard what folks like you were saying about it and decided to make it a reality.

Introducing the latest iteration of the melin Links collection, complete with a MagnaLink Ball Marker built right into the undervisor of the hat.

So yeah, the best golf hat on the planet just got better. And more functional. It still does everything else that melin is known for. It’s hella durable, antimicrobial and as comfy as they come. Just with the added functionality of a ball marker for people like me who either forget to snag one out of my bag or continue to lose them after dropping them in and out of my pants pocket.

It’s convenient. It’s functional. And it’s a cool way to listen to consumer feedback and turn it into something actually useful.

You can shop the melin Links collection with the new MagnaLink Ball Marker starting today.

Unless this hat gives me a happy ending after the round there is no way in hell I’m spending that much money.

From the comments, I get the feeling not many readers were convinced to buy this hat.

Not sure why Conner would even spend the time writing this article. Maybe he’s selling it to Fortune magazine also. Its a freaking golf hat, unless it has magical cooling properties or a logo from a top 5 golf course, its a non-starter for me and everyone else that responded.

WAY too much for a hat! Period. Stop.
And that’s even after I pay to get Shelta hats. After my doctor has cut off several areas of skin cancer, I have to use a full brim sun hat. BUT I hate the floppy brims on most golf sun hats. I don’t understand why someone can’t make decent golf hats with some technical features and a stiff full brim for a decent price! I guess until then I will keep looking on ebay and Amazon to buy Shelta hats at a reduced price. Don’t get me wrong, Shelta hats are GREAT!!! But they don’t really make “golf” colors, etc. and you can’t get them with any golf course logos. I’ve even sent emails to Shleta to recommend that get into the “golf” business. But I guess maybe the retail price is too high for golf courses. So, anybody out there want to make a hat like a Shelta hat with golf colors and better prices to sell to golf course??? That would be the best hat, by far.

Maybe if the hat was fitted I would consider. Not paying top dollar for a snap back

Only the same people that pay $2000 for a T-shirt (saw these on the WSJ) would pay this much for a hat. Unless it’s made of ballistic kevlar, I’ll pass.

Came here for the comments, was not disappointed. Lol, $90 for a hat. I can buy magnetic hat clips for $5 a dozen off Alibaba, and that includes the markers.

Golf attire is for suckers. If I don’t win pro shop credit and need something to wear fore golf I go to outdoor clothing companies for the best breathable materials for a lot less money. Marmot rock climbing pants are wonderful for golf. Always wondered – where does all that overpriced golf clothing go?

At $89 per hat the darn thing should be able to hit the golf ball at same time. You need a reality check dude. $89 is just ridiculous I don’t care how good the hat is

I will gladly pay extra or more expensive prices for higher quality clothing and gear, but some things are over the top. I will NEVER EVER buy a hat from this company. $89 for a slightly better hat than others is crazy.

I am a gainfully employed professional with plenty of disposable income, and it’ll be a cold day in hell before I spend $100 shipped on a godsdamned baseball hat. I have a fine collection of hats from manufacturers I like and courses I played and not once have a paid more than $50 for one – and then only once, at a high-end course I wanted to remember playing at. The rest of them were $20-$35 bucks, all of them look great and are plenty comfortable. They all go through the washing machine just fine when they get sweaty – I just put them in a plastic hat washing frame that anyone can get for $9.99 on Amazon.

Dude, you gotta get a grip – or am I way off-base and this is really what people are paying for hats these days?

Nice looking hat but not for me: 1) Skin cancer runs in my genes so I have to wear a wide brim hat w/ “all-around” sun coverage. 2) My home course has no trees so the sun usually hits your face at some angle, hence the all-around brim. 3) I bought a nice, breathable wider-brim on Temu for $4…slightly less than the $89 price tag here.

I mean no disrespect, sincerely, but you will see hell hip-deep in snowballs before you see me spend $80 on a golf hat.

I bought a couple when they first came out at a discount as a first time buyer. Hats should not cost what these cost nowadays. I don’t care if you can put them in the dishwasher or not.
