A few months ago, MyGolfSpy got an exclusive first-look and wear-test of what was to be Min Woo Lee’s new signature PAYNTR shoe.
Since that moment, I’ve been champing at the bit to tell you all about it. Because the new CHEF RX RS shoe from PAYNTR is the pinnacle of what the performance footwear brand is about.
Yeah, the Eighty Seven SC is one heck of a shoe. But PAYTNR has really outdone themselves with the CHEF RX RS.
The foundational idea behind the creation of the CHEF RX RS was to match Lee’s explosive athleticism without sacrificing style, something that the budding superstar is known for.
How do you blend fashion and function? It all starts with the build. And, as you know by now, PAYNTR spares no expense when it comes to building a golf shoe.
The brand’s tagline doesn’t read“performance multiplied … but only if we can hit margins”.
PAYNTR focuses on performance first, no expense spared. They typically figure out the cost structure downstream. Rather than give themselves a budget of say, $200, they set out to build the best shoe possible and then figure out what it costs to make.

Because of this golfer-first approach, PAYNTR tends to pack each of its shoes with cutting-edge tech. The CHEF RX RS is no different.
It boasts a full-grain leather upper. A knit tongue and bootie. A PMXNITROGEN+ footbed and PMXFOAM midsole (fancy words for proprietary foam compounds, the same used in all of PAYNTR’s flagship footwear). The spiked traction that continues to perform in Most Wanted footwear testing.
And, of course, PAYNTR’s PMXSpeed PLT, a propulsion plate that provides torsional support and energy return.
All in all? A shoe fit for a chef. Err, a golfer. One that just happens to go by the nickname Chef Woozy.
