I’ve been accepting the MyGolfSpy emails for months now. They seem to concentrate on the young golfers with faster swing speeds. Your “golf market” across the U.S. consist by a large margin golfers who’s swing speed do not reach 100 mph. So my interest is more with “golf information” I can choose with other information sources. Sorry I’m out.

Left dash pro v1x for sure. This year I was fit for all Titleist clubs with a Titleist fitter. He suggested I try the ball and gave me 3 to try. Driver SS is 105. This is the longest ball I ever used. Previously used pro v1 and I like it but it has no roll out. Left dash has more than enough spin on irons as well.

I am 80 years old with a swing speed less than my age. I agree the Left Dash is terrific and I can hit it consistently 200 yards.

At 115 MPH swing speed, those golfers do not need the distance that lesser swing speed golfers do. They need control.

True Dat I’m at like 117 to 122 but I can’t hit it that straight consistently but it’s fun as hell I want the farthest golf ball it’s not like a lesser ball is going to fly much straighter.

Has anybody besides me tried one of the numerous OEM ball fitting areas of the websites and found that regardless of what information I put into the tool, the most expensive ball is always recommended (I’m looking at you Titleist)?

      Hmmm ….

I stand with most the members on this one. What about us the average golfer?
Kudo to the effort of the data gathering for swing speed over 115 MPH.
Not many I know could swing their drivers 115 + MPH. A majority of us stay around 95-105, and almost all of the senior members are under 95 MPH swing speed. If you care about the bulk of the golf population, you’d gather additional data.
I’ll be looking foward to the “normal” test results, not just for the elite group of young golfers.

WOW, WOW, WOW!!!! All your data confirms my choice of Maxfli Tour X and Vice Pro & Vice Pro Plus as go to balls in my bag. The graph is outstanding & shows, not only expertise, but a passion to get it right! I’m proud y’all.

I appreciate your findings but what about the player with a much slower swing speed like myself – 85 MPH whole really needs extra distance. Is a ball for me going to be significantly longer or 1 o 3 yards which is really meaningless.

I agree that these distances are meaningless for the average senior golfer. Please dial it back and reveal results.

My swing speed just below 85, I have played chrome soft, Vice Pro Plus and Titleist AVX. The chrome soft curves to much, the new version of the AVX is a harder feel off the driver I actually felt it in my hands. Pro plus is my preferred ball it flys straight and is the longest for me, but not by much. It is better around the greens as well doesn’t roll out a lot as the AVX did.

Why does MGS only post golf ball articles about 115 MPH? Yes we know we can see the test, but why not post for all 3 swing speed groups?

As someone who does not have access to a launch monitor, but does have access to a driving range, it would be helpful to have a range ball option in this chart. To compare what I see at the range vs what I might see from these different balls.

I think 10 yards diff on irons, 15 on driver. give or take.
And I would also like to know how much spread from longest to middle of the pack if I drive 220 in the air.
