Chalk this one up as the most random collab of the year.
Seriously, wtf do Chili’s and Rhoback have to do with one another?
Frankly, I don’t care. I think it’s cool. Cause who doesn’t love a fat serving of chips and salsa after a breezy twilight nine?
For two days, Chili’s is taking over DeBell Golf Club in Burbank, Calif., and turning the clubhouse into its own version of the 19th hole. The Chili’s Golf Club will be open Aug. 28-29 and will include food, golf-themed drinks and a limited-edition apparel collection with Rhoback.
The apparel is really the bigger story here.

Rhoback and Chili’s put together a full collection built around the idea of an actual Chili’s golf club, complete with polos, hoodies, quarter-zips, crewnecks and hats. Prices range from $54 for the hats to $158 for the Horizon Block Performance Q-Zip. The polos come in at $132, with designs built around things like the Presidente Margarita, mulligans and the Champions Dinner.
It is ridiculous, but in the right way.
Golf has gotten a lot less serious over the last few years and collaborations like this are part of it. You do not need another plain navy polo with a tiny country club logo. Sometimes golf apparel can just be fun.
And if you are already a Rhoback person and have an unhealthy relationship with the Triple Dipper, this is probably about as targeted as a golf collection gets.

So now if I buy food/drink along w/ that overpriced polo I’m going to spend ~$175? Hmm…let me think about that for a millisecond. Nah, I wasn’t born THAT stupid!
