Testers Wanted: Sub 70 Putters

Testers Wanted: Sub 70 Putters

Just because the seasons are changing doesn’t mean there isn’t still ample time to test and review golf clubs!

In MyGolfSpy Most Wanted Testing, Sub 70 putters have performed well and most recently claimed third overall in 2023 Most Wanted Blade with the Sycamore 005 Wide Blade.  With an impressive lineup of 16 putters, they have an option that will surely appeal to any golfer.

Sub 70 says “every Sub 70 putter is milled from a billet of 1045 carbon steel which leaves no welds, castings or inconsistencies in the head. This is the best way to make a putter head and you will not find a more solid, great-feeling putter. Aesthetically, each of the Sub 70 putters offers a clean, classic black-and-white color scheme with traditional alignment lines. We have purposefully made the heads slightly heavier than the industry standard as we feel it allows a more natural pendulum-like putting stroke.“

Sub 70 also introduced a new graphite/steel putter shaft this year that offers more technology, feel and stability.

It’s notable that Sub 70 putters often cost nearly half of what major brands sell their putters for which seems to be a great balance of value and performance.

This is where we need you!

We will be selecting four golfers to test, review and keep any putter from Sub 70’s lineup with the shaft preference of their choosing.

What do you think? Up for testing what could be the best underrated putter you haven’t tried and providing your feedback along the way?

I just had my left knee replaced. I won’t be able to do anything but putt for the next 2 months. Total focus on putting.

I also have a putter from Sub70, solid feeling, but it is showing rust on the face after only a couple months…surface treatment needs improvement to delay or prevent it better. Including the weight kit at no additional cost is a good idea to set them apart from the competition.

I currently have an Odyssey Stroke Lab 7 but I’ve been really wanting to try a blade. I’d love to try any of the blades that sub 70 has to offer.

Already have one, what y’all want to know. The putter head looks super clean and I love how square and boxy it looks. It is definitely very heavy which has taken some getting used to, fortunately they send you a weight kit to tinker with. The club feels nice out of the center, despite being so heavy you still get feedback on off center strikes. Personally I would prefer deeper milling on the face as I prefer a slightly softer feel. I got the graphite/steel shaft upgrade which is nice. My one gripe is the putter sits extremely upright compared to my other flat sticks and I am still very much getting used to that. All in all this putter is an incredible value and certainly games well.
