The 10 Most-Read MyGolfSpy Stories Of 2025

The stories that resonated most with MyGolfSpy readers this year followed a familiar pattern. Golfers were looking for clear answers to two questions: what equipment should I play and how do I use it better on the course. The most-read stories of the year reflect that balance.

Testing once again drove a large share of interest. The 2025 MyGolfSpy Golf Ball Test was one of the most anticipated releases we’ve published in recent years, especially with the previous full ball test taking place back in 2023. (The good news is that the next golf ball test is already planned for 2026.)

Equipment didn’t dominate the list on its own. Several of the top stories focused on how golfers play the game. Distance charts were popular, along with stories about whether teeing the ball up on a par-3 makes sense, and which club is quietly costing them the most strokes.

One notable addition in 2025 was zero-torque putter testing. This was the first year we put the category through a full test and the interest was immediate. Golfers wanted to see performance data, not marketing claims, and the response made it clear this category will continue to be part of future testing conversations.

These 10 stories define what golfers cared about most in 2025.
