This FJ x Oofos Collab Has A Message For Your Feet

This new FJ x Oofos collaboration is the treat your feet didn’t know they needed.

If you’re a walking golfer, you know your feet work overtime: anywhere from five to seven miles and 10,000 to 13,000 steps. Once you’re done, your feet could use some sweet, sweet luvin’,

Seeing as how you’re not likely to get a foot massage from a vintage 1983 Rachel Ward (Hey, you have your post-round fantasies, I have mine), a nice pair of the aptly named Oofos Ooahh Sport Slide sandals isn’t a bad alternative.

Put on a pair and you’ll know why they named it “Ooahh.”

If nothing else, the name Oofos is memorable. Maybe not well known, but once you hear it, you’ll remember it. The FJ in this collab is, of course, FootJoy. That’s a brand that is quite well known. Not for recovery footwear, mind you, but it is well known.

When you put these two crazy kids together, you get a dual-branded version of MyGolfSpy’s top-rated recovery sport sandal.

The Foot Joy x Oofas Ooahh is really just the base model Oofos Ooahh Sport Slide sandal with FootJoy branding. With or without the branding, the Oofos Ooahh Sport Slide is one of the most comfortable, cushiony things you can put on your feet after a round.

They feature the company’s patented OOfoam™ Technology, which reduces load and stress on the body. While it’s not the same as a Rachel Ward foot rub, it does cradle your arches, absorbs 37 percent more impact than traditional foams and enables a more natural walking motion.

Okay, I got that verbiage from the Oofos website, but that doesn’t mean they don’t feel good.

Price and availability

The new FJ x Oofos Ooahh Sport Slides come in a slick navy/camo colorway, and the company did a nice job of integrating FootJoy’s “FJ” logo on the strap. Now, whether that combination is worth an extra $20 is really up to you. The standard, non-collab Ooahh’s sell for $59.95. The FootJoy version goes for $79.95.

Twenty bucks is twenty bucks, but I wouldn’t want to be telling Rachel Ward I went cheapo.

I’ve got the previous Blue/White Oofos/FJ collab and wear them daily around the house. Most comfortable slides I’ve ever owned. The moment I walk in the door, shoes off slides on.
