The Golf Shoes the 10 Best Players On Tour Are Wearing (And Why It Matters)

Many of us know what Scottie Scheffler is carrying in his bag. Amateur golfers cherish the thought of hitting a drive like Scheffler just because they have the same driver. However, there is a crucial piece of equipment that doesn’t receive nearly enough attention: golf shoes.

A great golf swing starts from the ground up. Ground connection, stability and comfort all play vital roles in performance. That’s why what’s on your feet matters. We looked at the top 10 PGA Tour players based on Strokes Gained data and delved deeper into their golf shoes.

NIKE Victory Pro 4

Worn by: Scottie Scheffler, Tommy Fleetwood

The NIKE Victory Pro 4 offers a more forgiving fit compared to previous NIKE models, featuring a roomier toe box and a sculpted heel for a sneaker-like feel. The full-length Cushlon midsole makes it a shoe that would work for both walkers and riders.

While it hasn’t gone through MyGolfSpy’s full performance testing, early hands-on impressions are strong. Connor Lindeman, MyGolfSpy’s Director of Content, said:

“As an expert shoe tester, I declare that the new NIKE Victory Pro 4 is the best performance golf shoe in their lineup. And, it’s my favorite performance shoe to come out this year from ANY brand.”

Buy this if: You prefer a firmer ride with improved fit and comfort.

Skip this if: You have a wide foot or want plush cushioning.

NIKE Victory Tour 4

Worn by: Rory McIlroy

The Victory Tour 4 brings advanced tech to the table. It has a carbon-fiber Flyplate that enhances lateral stability. It also features the same Cushlon foam found in the Victory Pro. NIKE also updated the fit, offering more room through the midfoot and toe box.

Buy this if: You want a modern, stable shoe with performance under pressure.

Skip this if: You dislike firmer-feeling shoes or shoes with thinner tongues.

FootJoy HyperFlex

Worn by: Justin Thomas

The FootJoy HyperFlex continues to lead in all-out stability. It was the most stable spiked shoe in our 2025 testing. It’s built for golfers with powerful, aggressive swings. It also delivers surprising comfort thanks to the StratoFoam midsole.

Buy this if: You need a locked-in, stable platform for speed and balance.

Skip this if: You prefer flexibility or natural foot movement.

FootJoy Premiere Series

Worn by: Shane Lowry, Alex Smalley, Bud Cauley

A modern classic. Aside from just looking like a Tour shoe, it performs like one. A VersaTrax+ outsole and Pulsar cleats offer traction. It’s also made with premium materials like lambskin lining and OrthoLite insoles.

Buy this if: You want timeless looks with real-world traction and structure.

Skip this if: You favor sporty or ultra-light shoes.

adidas TOUR360 24

Worn by: Sepp Straka, Daniel Berger

A stability monster with top-tier comfort. The adidas Tour 360 is a serious performer and it was named the best spiked golf shoe of 2024 and 2025. You really can’t go wrong with the Tour 360 and it’s been this way for a few years now.

Buy this if: You want best-in-class performance with a stable, cushioned ride.

Skip this if: You have wide feet — the toe box runs snug.

adidas adizero ZG

Worn by: Collin Morikawa

Lightweight and aggressive, is a top pick comfort and speed. It’s ideal for players seeking mobility without compromising structure and it remains a favorite in the adidas lineup.

Buy this if: You want a tour-level shoe with a lighter, more athletic feel.

Skip this if: You need extra cushioning or foot volume.

I’m an overall shoe junkie and golf equipment whore. I have a lot of cool looking and comfy golf shoes Nike/jordan ,adidas, gfore, footjoy, and now Payntr. I gotta say I now try to wear my Payntr any chance I get they are so comfy, stable and perform. I just wish they had more colors.
