I really do think that expensive rangefinders ($300-$600) are one of the most glaring wastes of money in the golf business, akin to the 20 HC that buys new clubs every season. I buy inexpensive off-brand ones, well, have bought just one so far. It is in its 4th or 5th season now. Gives me all the data I need and matches the readings my friends get from their expensive brand-name ones. Yeah… they were likely made by Chinese slave labor, but weren’t the brand name ones as well, sans the marketing dollars?
