The Fastest Driver At 105+ MPH Isn’t Getting The Attention It Deserves

When the fastest drivers for big hitters are discussed, names like COBRA, Titleist and Callaway dominate the conversation. But one of the fastest and longest drivers of 2025 was the Srixon ZXi LS and it’s not getting enough attention for what it’s capable of.

It’s the fastest in the test

The Srixon ZXi LS produced the highest ball speed in the test at 163.04 mph. The carry distance it produced was over 278 yards and a total distance of just under 290. It’s not the longest driver in the test; the COBRA DS-Adapt Max K is about two yards longer.

The spin and launch numbers from the Srixon ZXi LS are good for high swing speed players:

  • Launch Angle: 12.36°
  • Backspin: 2,600 rpm
  • Descent Angle: 40.22°
  • Offline Avg: just -2.47 yards

By the numbers, the ZXi LS goes toe-to-toe with the COBRA DS-Adapt Max K, PXG Black Ops 0311 Tour-1 and Titleist GT4 and outruns most of them in ball speed.

So why isn’t it getting attention?

The Srixon ZXi LS has top-tier metrics and it had a strong performance in this high swing speed test but it doesn’t get the same attention as others. Srixon’s irons have started to gain attention over the last few years but the consumer perception of Srixon as a driver brand still lags behind.

In addition, PGA Tour exposure for this driver is minimal. Keegan Bradley has it in play but it’s not a common choice among top professionals.

What makes the ZXi LS special?

What sets the ZXi LS apart isn’t just its technology. It’s how that tech translates into real-world performance during MyGolfSpy’s 2025 high swing speed test.

Srixon’s i-FLEX face and Rebound Frame helped to generate the fastest ball speed of all 37 drivers tested.

Forgiveness wasn’t elite but it held its own. The ZXi LS stayed within a few yards of the center line on average and delivered consistent results. One thing to keep in mind here is that the ZXi LS is not built to cover up big misses. It’s built to go fast.

Srixon’s design choices, like front-to-back adjustable weighting, the new hosel sleeve and subtle changes like laser face milling for wet-weather control quietly added up to a driver that performed well for those with high swing speeds.

Who should try it?

The Srixon ZXi LS finished 11th overall in MyGolfSpy’s 2025 High Swing Speed driver test. If your swing speed is north of 105 mph and your priority is distance without ballooning spin, this driver deserves a test. It’s not built for everyone but for the right player, it could be a winner.

These results with high speed swings are worthless for 90% of recreational golfers. If you truly want to evaluate a single driver’s speed you need to include the speed that the average golfer can create.

Great article and very informative. I know Srixon makes a very good gold ball which I use at times. About there driver that’s something I’ll be looking into. Thank you for sharing.
