Best of Golf 2024

The annual MyGolfSpy Best of Golf awards is perhaps my favorite piece to write each year. It’s one of the few times we get to (somewhat) look past the data and analysis to just show off some really cool stuff.

It’s not that we don’t want to highlight top-performing golf gear. There’s still plenty of that here. But the Best of Golf awards allow us to shine a light on the little guys, the unsung heroes and heroines of the golf industry.

Some of the best golf gear has been kept a secret for too long. That, above all else, is why we created our Best of Golf awards.

From our favorite on-course snacks to the most unique divot tool out there, each of these items have been hand-picked by our eclectic staff ranging from hardcore enthusiast to the casual weekend warrior.

This is the Best of Golf for 2024.

GrindYourGolf Custom Wedges

Is this not the coolest custom wedge you’ve ever seen? GrindYourGolf out of Ogden, Utah, does just a stellar job of these one-off wedges. Check out their great ball markers and bag tags while you’re at it.

Coggin Custom Ball Markers

If you can get your hand on a Coggin ball marker, you’re in for a treat. Each run is very limited so you’ll have to be quick. There are few designs more unique and fun than what Coggin is cooking up.

Jain Golf Custom Mackenzie Golf Bag

Jain and Mackenzie Golf teamed up to create this sweet little carry bag. Oh, am I drooling? This canvas creation is almost too good to use!

RipIt Golf Grips

Who knew grips could be so artsy? RipIt’s golf grips don’t just look good, they feel good. If you want to spruce up your clubs, this is the way to go.

Titleist Pro V1x Left Dash

The Pro V1x Left Dash is one of few truly unique golf ball offerings. Its combination of high compression, high flight and high spin is ideal who need a little help controlling spin or are just looking to maximize distance off the tee.

lululemon Bottoms

lululemon hasn’t always been a household name in the golf industry. But if their signing of Min Woo Lee is any indication of the future, lululemon is all-in on golf. Their Commission Golf Pants and ABC shorts are perennial staff favorites. Well worth the extra cash.

Under Armour Curry 1 Golf Shoes

I’m a sucker for a comfortable spikeless shoe. The Curry 1 was the first basketball shoe I ever bought with my own money. Now UA has turned it into a spikeless golf shoe. Man, are they good!

Whoop 4.0

This year, I really prioritized my fitness and recovery. Nothing has been more instrumental to my gains on the golf course than Whoop. This little fitness band has changed the way I workout and, more importantly, recover.

Sunday Golf Golf Bags

We’ve rarely seen someone challenge PING in the golf bag department. But the flamboyant little bag company out of California is a contender.

Kraken Golf Crayon Divot Tool

Got a friend who won’t fix their ball marks? Hand ’em one of these and be done with it. Repairing your divots just got more fun with this unique divot tool from Kraken Golf.

Wilson Staff Dynapower 3-Wood

I’ve tried a lot of 3-woods since the mid-’80s when I gamed a gorgeous MacGregor Tourney. The Wilson Dynapower is the first one since that persimmon beauty that I haven’t hated. In fact, I kinda like it. A lot.

Custom Cleats Custom Golf Cleats

Custom Cleats can turn any shoe into a golf shoe. No, this service is more than just adding spikes. Their proprietary custom process ensures your custom golf shoes are more than just a display piece.

Oofos Recovery Footwear

The OOahh Sport Slide is something every golfer should experience. Nothing is better than slipping on these super-soft slides after a long round on the golf course.

Ray-Ban Meta Smart Sunglasses

The Ray-Ban Meta Smart Sunglasses are the perfect tool for content creation. But, they also work just as well for filming that wretched golf swing of yours.

Garmin Approach S70

On-course and off-course, feature-rich with excellent battery life. It can do it all and will help not only with shooting better scores but preparing yourself better off the course.

The Stack System

Golf is a game of distance. The Stack System is our favorite way to gain speed and distance. This unique training system is a perennial award winner for a reason.

Callaway Chrome Tour Golf Balls

Since taking part in White Box testing, I have been thoroughly impressed, especially when comparing to prior-generation golf balls. The feel and consistency are much more to my taste. Callaway got serious about improving their golf balls.

PING PLD Custom Anser

Of all of the putters that I have been fitted for over the years, the PLD Custom Anser is the one that keeps ending up in the bag. Of all of my fitted clubs, this is the one that feels the most “right.” Pretty amazing when you consider that the fitting was done remotely with the iPING software.

PING G430 MAX 10K

The best driver of 2024 had to make an appearance on this list. Why? It dominated the competition. Rarely do we see a club take over the field like the PING G430 MAX 10k did.

Senna Made Hunter Jacket Headcovers

These premium leather headcovers from Senna Made are absolute stunners. Seriously, you’ll be hard-pressed to find a cleaner driver headcover than the Hunter Jacket from Senna Made.

Fit Crunch Protein Bars

These are the go-to golf bag snacks. Great-tasting and really do the trick at preventing low energy bonking on the back nine. The PB&J version is good, too. When it gets really hot, put them in the cooler or they will melt.

GrooveIt Club Brush

No club brush comes close. I keep this thing on my golf bag and use it after nearly every shot. I love the quick-release magnet. It’s so easy to grab off my bag, clean my clubs and then click it back on.

Liquid IV

Golf season in southeastern Virginia is brutal. The summer is hot. The humidity is ungodly. Staying hydrated is essential and Liquid IV is my go-to hydration for the golf course.

Therabody Theragun Mini

The Theragun Mini is one of my favorites to keep in my travel bag or if I know I’ll be on the course for more than a range session and a few brews. Great for targeting specific pains and keeps its charge longer than my iPhone.

Callaway Paradym Ai Smoke Triple Diamond Driver

This is the best driver I’ve hit this year. It sounds great, feels great and goes a mile. Did I mention that it looks much better in person, too? Yeah, this one is worth a go if you need to cut some spin.

Titliest Script Hat

I just as easily could have listed this as a “bag baby” because I believe that a good hat is just as important as a good short game. And while every major brand has a recognizable logo, there’s just something iconic about the Titleist script.

Kentwool Socks

Socks that feel like kittens on your feet – but much more supportive and without all the unnecessary attitude. What’s better is that several pairs can easily last you the entire season.

Ghost Golf Magnetic Towel

A simple concept – a towel with a magnet. But it’s so damn functional it makes everyone who looks at it wonder why they didn’t think of it first.

Melin A-Game Hydro

A good hat is worth its weight in gold. And no one does hats better than Melin. Gawk at the price tag, sure, but until you’ve tried on, you’re not allowed to complain. Nothing fits and feels better than my Melin A-Game Hydro.

Johnnie-O Quarter-Zips

This is my go-to quarter-zip. No matter how many I have in my closet, I just end up reaching for this one again and again. Does my wife hate that I wear it all the time? Sure. But it’s just too comfortable to go a different route.

Owala Water Bottles

Owala’s FreeSip spout is one of the best innovations in water bottles. The unique design allows you to chug through one hole and sip through the straw through the other.

Bridgestone Mindset Golf Balls

It sounds like a gimmick but if you do follow the three steps (Imagine the shot, select the target, focus on the ball), the results are tangible. It’s a reminder to clear your mind and focus on the task at hand.

Enso Silicone Wedding Bands

Have an expensive wedding band that you don’t want to take to the course? Enso’s silicone wedding bands are the only rings I wear. They’re extremely comfortable and don’t mess with my grip.

Vessel Player IV Pro

Not only are these the trusted staff bags of MyGolfSpy but they are one of the finer luxuries in the game. Ample storage, buttery material and dividers that don’t catch the end of your grip (thank God.) Heavy? Maybe a little, but this bag is good. No questions asked.

Titleist Vokey SM10 Wedgeworks

The best custom work to come from a manufacturer. WedgeWorks IS the bar, folks. Whether you’re a Vokey fan or not – the meticulous attention to detail on every wedge is the best, bar none.

Penfold GX Performance Glove

I’m a sucker for nostalgia and the Penfold GX glove fits that bill. Excellent fit, durability and style. Some come in cool colors but check the website regularly to see what’s in stock.

Try an Aiming Fluid Golf towel, much better than Ghost and a less expensive.

Aiming Fluid Golf has the best golf towel I’ve ever used, love the scrub pad and wash pocket.

In what world are Aiming Fluid towels better? They are a cheap chinese made towel which copied the Ghost Golf design. Unless you work for them, then it makes sense.

News Flash- Ghost Golf towels are also made in China. $40/45 for a golf towel with a weak magnet is ridiculous

Ghost golf towel is overpriced, so many better magnetic towels for a lower price.

I also thought the entire point of the Left Dash was to be low spin.

I love the “Best of Golf” report, thank you. FYI, I base most of my equipment buying decisions on your reviews.
      Keep up the great work,
