Best Golf Stand Bags of 2026

The golf bag is an unsung hero and deserves just as much consideration as the clubs in your bag. For many golfers, the process of selecting a golf stand bag is a fleeting consideration, often reduced to a quick choice based on aesthetics—the appeal of a certain color or a recognizable brand name emblazoned on the side.

Best overall golf stand bags

For years, we’ve rigorously tested and analyzed golf stand bags to identify the top performers. However, if you are searching for a single stand bag that suits everyone, you may need to continue your search.

Stand bags exhibit significant variation, meaning the perfect bag for one golfer may be unsuitable for another. Ultimately, the best golf stand bags achieve a balance” between key factors: storage, dividers, weight, walking comfort, and overall features. Compromising heavily in one area will likely impact the functionality of another.

Your selection process must begin with prioritizing your most important needs. There is no universally right or wrong choice; there is only the choice that is right for you. Choose accordingly.

If you're seeking a lightweight carry bag, this model, coming in at under 6 lbs, is certainly up to the task. It might not be the absolute lightest available, but it delivers on performance. As for matching the logo on the bag to your existing equipment, it's time to set aside that concern.

Bottom Line

For 2026, the updated PING Hoofer once again earns the distinction of “Best Overall” stand bag. It continues to be the industry benchmark, setting the standard for a perfectly balanced stand bag.

Tester Feedback

Testers universally praised the bag’s pocket configuration, highlighting the excellent storage capacity both within the pockets and across the bag’s layout. Many noted that the design significantly aids in maintaining organization on and off the course. The overwhelming consensus was that this bag is a versatile “do-it-all” option.

Expert Take

The PING Hoofer continues its legacy as a standout performer in Most Wanted testing, building upon its successful, consistently improved design. This lightweight workhorse, weighing less than six pounds, offers exceptional balance even when fully loaded, making it effortless to carry. Comfort is paramount, thanks to its padded, easily adjustable convertible straps. For golfers who prefer riding, the cart strap pass-through secures the bag firmly, complemented by “scratch-resistant leg guards [that] protect against excessive wear and tear” during transit.

Storage is ample and well-organized, easily accommodating the needs of any golfer. The zippers operate smoothly and are simple to manage one-handed; however, the corded zipper pulls might not match the durability of the rest of the bag. Club management is optimized by the re-engineered 5-way top and a “new bag bottom [that] improves club removal by guiding clubs to the correct segment and keeping clubs separated while carrying.” The stand system is quick, stable, and responsive upon deployment, and it retracts completely and smoothly. Generations of golfers have relied on the Hoofer for its “ease of use and practical attributes,” a tradition the latest model fully upholds.

Tester Feedback

Testers praised the Vessel Player Air Carbon’s sophisticated aesthetic, with one suggesting its style was such that “you could probably take one of these bags to a black tie affair and it wouldn’t be out of place.” Beyond its style, the bag was commended for its comfort and balance, largely due to the padded, auto-adjusting double shoulder strap system that impressed all who tested it.

Bottom Line

The Sunday Golf Ranger maintains its position as the “Staff Pick” for this year’s testing. While retaining its successful design, Sunday Golf has refreshed the line by introducing a new sage color option.

Tester Feedback

The Ranger stand bag impressed testers as a complete package, blending functionality with innovation. Its overall performance made up for the limited colorways, which some testers wished were more abundant. The durable dividers were largely effective, though a few subtle annoyances were noted when removing putters with thicker grips, as some catching occurred on the underside of the dividers. However, this was considered a minor issue, not a deal-breaker.

Expert Take

The Sunday Golf Ranger is a sophisticated, full-sized stand bag that manages to be premium without being overly heavy, weighing in at 6 lbs 4 oz—perfectly average among the bags we tested. Its balanced design makes it easy and comfortable to carry, supported by a well-padded double shoulder strap.

Storage is a highlight, featuring a total of nine pockets. Notable features include the quick-access, insulated, magnetic Frosty Pocket for beverages, alongside two other open quick-access pockets. The bag is supported by ultra-light carbon fiber legs that deploy and retract responsively and stably. While Sunday Golf might not be a major brand name yet, the Ranger is a strong contender that delivers modern style, premium materials, and excellent performance, earning a spot on the shortlist for anyone seeking a new stand bag.

Don't Buy This If

  • ✖︎ You adhere to the premise that a premium stand bag must offer a variety of color options.

Purchase at

Bottom Line

Channel your inner pro and rock the look with the PING Hoofer Tour, this year’s top premium bag. It delivers on all your needs with a lightweight design, generous top, and ample storage, all wrapped in a tour-inspired aesthetic.

Tester Feedback

Despite its initial appearance of being heavy, testers were pleasantly surprised by the bag’s lightweight design and appealing style upon closer inspection. Furthermore, all were impressed with the bag’s layout and storage capacity. A key disappointment, however, is that the PING Hoofer Tour is currently offered only in white, leading to concerns among testers about how difficult it will be to keep clean over time.

Expert Take

The PING Hoofer Tour is a premier stand bag that perfectly blends tour-inspired performance with everyday practicality. It offers a sleek, professional aesthetic and hits a sweet spot for being both carry-friendly and having fully functional storage capacity.

Weighing in at 6 lbs 4 oz, the Hoofer Tour manages to stay relatively lightweight for easy carrying while maintaining a blend of durability, organization, and comfort. Carrying is made exceptionally comfortable with its padded, convertible, and easily adjustable straps. For those who prefer riding, the cart strap channel ensures the bag stays secure, though using a cart strap protector is recommended for this white bag to minimize potential wear and discoloration.

Organization is a strong suit, featuring a 5-way top and an innovative bottom base with dividers, which minimizes frustrating club tangle and aids in smooth club removal and replacement. The bag boasts ten pockets, including convenient options like a magnetic rangefinder pocket, dual magnetic water-bottle pockets, a full-length apparel pocket, and a dedicated rain hood pocket. The metal zipper pulls and smooth-operating zippers are built to last.

Finally, the stand system is quick, responsive, and stable upon deployment, retracting completely and smoothly when not in use.

Purchase at

Bottom Line

The COBRA Ultralight Pro stand bag is the perfect choice for walking golfers who want dependable performance and functionality, earning it this year’s “Best Lightweight” recognition.

Tester Feedback

One tester reported the COBRA Ultralight Pro is a simple, lightweight, stand bag that offers quality and functionality without being excessive. Perfect for the golfer who wants to walk the course and probably great for junior golfers first full-sized bag

Expert Take

The COBRA Ultralight Pro is an excellent choice for golfers committed to walking the course more frequently, offering a lightweight and affordable solution that doesn’t compromise performance. Weighing less than five pounds, this bag is engineered for easy carrying over 18 holes. The adjustable, padded double-strap system balances the load well, providing more than adequate comfort for a full round, provided the bag isn’t overloaded. While the padding isn’t as luxurious as some premium bags, it’s perfectly suitable for its purpose.

Storage is functional and streamlined, featuring seven pockets designed for efficiency. Highlights include a magnetic rangefinder pocket and a generously sized cooler pocket, proving that the Ultralight Pro has all the right pockets in all the right places. All zippers operated smoothly during testing, though the corded zipper pulls may require occasional maintenance due to potential fraying over time.

The bag maintains its lightweight focus with a simple 4-way top and two full-length dividers. This design, while keeping the weight down, may occasionally lead to minor club entanglement when retrieving or replacing clubs, illustrating the inherent trade-off between minimum weight and maximum club organization. Finally, the stand mechanism is both stable and highly responsive. Note that this bag is best utilized as a carry bag; frequent use on a golf cart is not recommended, as it can cause unnecessary wear on the legs.

In summary, the COBRA Ultralight Pro excels as a comfortable, lightweight stand bag built specifically for those who prefer to loop around the course on foot.

Purchase at

Bottom Line

The all-new Callaway Fairway 14 stand bag, completely redesigned, has earned the “Best Hybrid” distinction in this year’s testing. It offers premium stability and organization, delivering top-tier performance for golfers whether they choose to walk or ride

Tester Feedback

Testers were in near-total agreement: the Callaway Fairway 14 is built for the golfer who always uses a riding or push cart, but still values a stand feature for when the bag is off the course.

Expert Take

The Callaway Fairway 14 stands out as the go-to hybrid bag, excelling whether you prefer walking or riding. Despite being slightly heavier than the average stand bag tested, clocking in at just under seven and a half pounds, its design prioritizes versatility. While perhaps not the lightest option for long carries, it’s perfectly suited for a cart or over-the-shoulder use. For those who choose to walk, the Pro Balance Strap System is a highlight, featuring the redesigned ANAMATIC Strap and Parabolic Hip Pad, which we confirmed provides balanced, all-day comfort.

Organization is a strong point, with 11 pockets—including a front-facing GPS pocket and a velour-lined valuables pocket—keeping all necessary gear readily accessible, regardless of your round’s outcome. Although the zippers operated smoothly and reliably, the durability of the corded zipper pulls raises a minor concern.

Key features include the 4-way shaft shield top with 14 full-length dividers, ensuring superior club protection. Cart users will especially appreciate the “ALL-NEW Lowrider Landing Zone,” which provides smooth and secure compatibility with any cart. Ultimately, the Callaway Fairway 14 delivers complete organization and adaptability, whether you strap it onto a cart or sling it over your shoulders.

Bottom Line

The PING Hoofer 14 is the 14-way top version of the Hoofer, catering to golfers who prioritize club organization, but still looking for a comprehensive stand bag for carrying.

Tester Feedback

One tester summed it up well noting that if you love the PING Hoofer, but want a 14-way bag for club organization then the Hoofer 14 is the way to go.If you are a fan of the PING Hoofer stand bag but require a 14-way top for improved club organization, the Hoofer 14 is the ideal choice, as noted by our testers.

Expert Take

The PING Hoofer 14 is essentially the same as the standard PING Hoofer, but with a key difference in club division: the Hoofer 14 features a 14-way top divider system, while the standard version utilizes a five-way top.

A notable, practical addition is the elevated access pocket along the spine of the bag. This clever feature uses otherwise dead space and minimizes the need for a golfer to bend over repeatedly. The Hoofer 14 is only about eight ounces heavier than the standard Hoofer, a weight difference that will likely go unnoticed by most users.

The dual carry straps are well-padded, allowing the bag to be comfortably and easily balanced even when fully loaded. With what PING counts as 17 pockets, the bag offers extensive storage and organization capabilities, suitable for the most demanding golfer. While you may not count 17 external pockets, PING’s count likely includes internal compartments that further aid in organization. All zippers operated smoothly with a single hand, though the corded zipper pulls remain a design point of question.

The 14-way top dividers made club retrieval and return straightforward. However, a few sections are somewhat narrow, which can occasionally cause grips to hang up. The stand mechanism is fast, responsive, and stable when deployed, and it retracts completely and smoothly.

Ultimately, the PING Hoofer 14 is ideal for the golfer who prioritizes organization, both for their clubs and the wide array of gear they carry from round to round.

Bottom Line

A fantastic, budget-friendly option, the Mizuno BR-D3 is an excellent all-around stand bag, offering a comfortable, lightweight, and ergonomic design for easy carrying.

Tester Feedback

The Mizuno BR-D3 is ideal for the minimalist golfer. Testers appreciated this lightweight carry bag for its simple, no-fuss design, allowing them to focus entirely on their game—a true embodiment of the “Keep It Simple, Stupid” (KISS) principle.

Expert Take

The Mizuno BR-D3 stand bag is a straightforward, value-based choice, ideal for both new and experienced golfers. Though the Mizuno name is often associated with high-quality irons, the BR-D3 shines as a lightweight carrying option, weighing in at just 5.5 lbs. Carrying a fully loaded bag is comfortable thanks to the well-padded, dual shoulder straps.

The bag offers sufficient storage for your essentials, including a full-length apparel pocket, an insulated drink pocket, and a zippered, fleece-lined pocket for valuables. All zippers operate easily with one hand, featuring the ubiquitous corded pulls with metal ferrules.

The 4-way top has two full-length dividers, which provide some separation, though golfers may occasionally experience clubs getting stuck. The stand deploys reliably, but we felt it could kick out a couple of degrees further for enhanced stability.

Ultimately, the Mizuno BR-D3 is an excellent, budget-friendly option for those who need a second bag for walking or are just starting out in the game.

How to choose a golf stand bag

Various stand bags _ 26 MW

The variables often overlooked are numerous and complex, extending well beyond surface-level appeal. A truly optimized stand bag takes into account the realities of carrying a significant amount of weight—approximately 25 to 30 pounds when fully loaded with clubs, balls, apparel, and accessories—for four hours or more.

With so many stand bag options—varying in colorways and features—choosing the right one for golf can feel overwhelming. We’ve simplified the process by highlighting key variables to consider for maximum efficiency and to help you make your decision easily.

Storage and pocket configuration

Multiple pockets_ 26 MW Stand Bags

One of the top considerations when purchasing a golf stand bag is the storage capacity and pocket layout. However, there is more to storage than just an abundance of pockets.

Key storage design features:

  • Accessibility and utilization: The best bags feature stitching and design that allow pockets to open fully. This ensures ease of access and maximum usability.
  • Pocket intrusion: Poorly designed stand bags often suffer from pockets that restrict or interfere with adjacent storage. Whether due to lack of liners or the contents themselves, this design flaw can render nearby pockets all but useless.
Valuables pocket_ 26 MW Stand Bags

Assessing your needs:

You must evaluate your typical carry load to determine the necessary pocket features:

  • Dedicated storage: Consider if you require an insulated pocket for beverages or a large apparel pocket for rain gear and extra layers.
  • Valuables protection: Valuables pockets should be fleece-lined and waterproof for secure storage of electronics and keys.
  • Efficiency: The placement and accessibility of pockets, such as dedicated spots for balls and tees, are crucial for efficiency, both when the bag is on your back and when it is standing up.
Frosty pocket_ 26 MW Stand Bags

The PING Hoofer, PING Hoofer 14, and Callaway Fairway 14 ‘26 excel when it comes to efficient storage.  If you’re looking for large capacity with a variety of usable pockets consider the following: Ask Echo’s ST-LOCK/Leather Elite (Release:  TBD), PXG’s Deluxe Hybrid/Xtreme Hybrid, Wilson Talus, and Mizuno BR-DX 14-Way Hybrid.

Dividers

Various divider tops_ 26 MW Stand Bags

Stand bags were tested with divider configurations ranging from three to 15, although the majority featured five or six dividers. This range appears to offer the best balance between club spacing and organization. This range seems to offer an optimal combination of club spacing, organization, and minimal grip interference.

The total number of dividers is less critical than how they are shaped. Specifically, the curve of the dividers when the stand is engaged is important. Dividers with a slight curve help to naturally splay clubs, such as irons and woods, which improves access and user-functionality.

Club dividers vary significantly in material, ranging from velour-lined to rubber-coated, and their design may or may not incorporate full-length divisions. The primary goal of these features is to protect and organize club shafts. Some bags offer individual club compartments, while others have loose dividers that allow grips and shafts to easily tangle.

If minimizing club noise and maximizing organization are your priorities, the Ask Echo 2026 ST-LOCK is an excellent choice, featuring a quiet top and innovative grip-lock base technology. Conversely, for those who prefer a classic look and feel, the Sunday Ranger offers a more traditional experience. Its 6-way top is constructed from durable, coated material, and fully encapsulated, full-length dividers work to keep your clubs orderly and significantly reduce shaft and grip interference.

Weight

Heavy weight_26 MW Stand Bags

The foundational material and construction directly influence the bag’s empty weight. A lighter bag conserves energy over 18 holes, but must also be constructed from durable, high-quality fabric to withstand regular use and exposure to various weather conditions.

When it comes to walking a course, weight is a serious consideration. The stand bags tested range from just under 4 pounds to over 9 1/2 pounds.

The stand bag category featured four light options, significantly undercutting the 6 1/2 pound average weight observed across the 57 bags tested. For golfers prioritizing the lightest possible carry, consider these stand bags, all weighing four and a half pounds or less:

Light weight_26 MW Stand Bags

If stand bags are still too heavy for you, try a Sunday Bag, but be aware you may have to leave a few clubs at home: Best Sunday Bags.

Walking functionality (“walkability”)

Walkability_26 MW Stand Bags

For a golf stand bag, the most important factor is its comfort and efficiency while walking the course, a quality we call “walkability.”

Walkability is a complex concept. It incorporates various elements such as the bag’s weight, overall size, strap design, ease of adjustment, and the strategic placement of hip padding. Importantly, walkability is not solely determined by light weight; several midweight bags can be just as “walkable” as their lighter counterparts.

The best stand bags—whether fully packed with a complete set of 14 clubs and extra balls, or intentionally lighter—achieve a perfect balance, making them a pleasure to carry. They consistently feature well-padded, comfortable double straps and the optimal number of accessible, practical pockets.

A well-designed dual-strap system is paramount for distributing weight evenly across both shoulders. Look for thick, comfortable padding, easily adjustable straps, and a pivot mechanism that keeps the bag balanced and stable against your back while walking. Poor strap design is a direct route to fatigue and back strain.

The PING Hooferlite, Vessel Player Air Carbon (Release: April 2026) and Sun Mountain Eclipse E-1.5 stood out for their balance, light weight and comfortable dual-strap systems.

Versatility

PING Hoofer Tour_26 MW_2

Golfers often fall into one of the following camps: those who consistently walk the course, those who never walk but want a stand bag for the range, and those who alternate between using a golf trolley/push cart, a riding cart, and walking. For golfers seeking this kind of flexibility, the best choice is typically a mid-weight, mid-size bag.

These bags are durable enough to handle cart use and often feature superior club organization, as well as a cart strap pass—a feature sometimes missing from the best lightweight golf bags.

Excellent options for golfers who prioritize versatility include the PING Hoofer 14, Titleist Hybrid 14, Mizuno BR-DX 14-Way Hybrid and the Callaway Fairway 14.

Features

MNML M Comp stand bag_26 MW_2

A stand bag’s quality is often determined by its features. Before making a purchase, it’s essential to consider the elements that distinguish the excellent from the subpar.

Stand stability

Various stands_ 26 MW Stand Bags

The stand legs must deploy quickly, firmly, and consistently on varied terrain. A robust, non-slip base is essential to prevent the bag from collapsing or sliding on wet slopes or concrete paths. The base stability also impacts how easily you can place the bag down and pick it up.

Not all stand systems are created equal. Some actuate very quickly and snap right into position while some are wobbly and require a lot of force to set in motion.

The most effective stand bag legs and systems often share key features: they include supports positioned a few inches below the top of the legs, actuate reliably and repeatedly when needed, and utilize smaller feet.

The bags with the best stand systems include the entire PING Hoofer series (Hoofer, Hoofer 14, Hoofer Lite, Hoofer Tour, and Reserve), the Vessel series (Player Air Carbon and Player V Pro), the Callaway bag family (Fairway+, Fairway 14, and Summit (Canvas)/(Leather)), the PXG series (Xtreme Carry, Xtreme Hybrid, and Deluxe Hybrid), Titleist Hybrid 14, COBRA Ultralight Pro, Wilson 1914, and CaddyDaddy RevCore Premium. All the aforementioned stand systems deployed quickly and were rock-solid stable.

Other features

Various Zippers_ 26 MW Stand Bags

While stand stability should be a key consideration in the features category, don’t overlook zippers and other creature comforts that can make your round all the more enjoyable.

Zippers are often an overlooked item until you run across bad ones. Look for zippers that are easily opened/closed consistently with one hand. Furthermore, some zippers are waterproof and have durable pulls.

Look for simple things like Velcro tabs for storing and drying gloves. What about a water bottle holder? Will it hold an appropriately sized water bottle for your needs? Does the bag have quick access magnetic pockets for things like extra balls and/or rangefinders?

Ghost Anyday_ 26 MW Stand Bags

Many bags now feature more durable and easily maintained materials, with accessory attachment points also being constructed from hard-wearing components.

Storage: The total number of pockets matters but so does the amount of usable storage. Do the pockets open wide or do they take up too much space? Finding the right balance of pockets and storage is key to a solid stand bag.

Dividers: Dividers are rated based on how smooth they are. A divider that catches or pulls on a club grip is scored lower than one that allows for a smooth retrieval of a club. A divider’s shape and overall design is taken into account.

Weight: All bags are weighed and scored from lowest weight to heaviest.

Walking functionality (“walkability”): This takes into account things like straps, comfort, bounce, etc. How walkable is the bag?

Features: This takes into account extra features like the stand, magnets, glove holders and more. The more features that are well executed, the better a bag will score.

Golf stand bag tips and tricks

PING Hoofer Lite Stand_ 26 MW Stand Bags
  • Struggling to organize your new stand bag? In general, place woods in the top section, long/mid irons in the middle section(s), and wedges/putter in the lower section. If you happen to have a putter well, then you have a few more options. As for the other pockets, be deliberate about your organization to minimize constantly searching for items.
  • Eliminate unnecessary items to reduce fatigue. Did you know a dozen golf balls weigh @ 1lb. 3 oz.? Clean out the extra dozen or more balls you’ve picked up and never use anyway.
  • Adjust the straps for both comfort and balance to prevent unnecessary strain or injury. Once adjusted, you should only have to loosen/tighten the chest straps while removing or wearing the stand bag.
  • Take the time to dry and clean your water bottle and cooler pockets to prevent mold. Furthermore, take a vacuum to the pockets frequently to keep other dirt/debris from accumulating.

Best golf stand bags of 2026 – Four key findings

PING Hoofer 14_26 MW_3

1. Not every stand bag is the same.

No matter your preference—a lightweight bag for walking, a versatile hybrid model suitable for occasional carrying or strapping onto a cart, an all-weather waterproof design, or something else—there’s a golf bag perfectly suited to your needs.

2. Focus on pocket functionality.

When evaluating a new stand bag, look for convenient features like easy-access magnetic pockets for items you use often. Crucially, before committing to a bag, imagine fully loading every compartment and check whether the contents of one pocket impede the accessibility or function of any other.

3. Stand mechanisms vary widely.

Stand bags exhibit a broad range in their deployment mechanisms. While some stands actuate with minimal effort and remain stable, others demand considerably more force and often wobble significantly upon deployment. A major concern is that some mechanisms may not fully extend, leading to the stand collapsing under the weight of a fully loaded bag.

4. Don’t overlook essential extras.

Beyond the basics of a stand bag, look for essential features like a water bottle holder for hydration and Velcro tabs for quick glove access and drying. Practical pocket organization is crucial. Finally, prioritize fit, finish, and durability for a bag that carries well, looks good, and lasts.

I have the Vessel bag and am happy with it for the most part. I have changed to oversized grips and am constantly wrestling to get clubs out and even to go back in. Maybe have a category for large grips next time?

Let me preface my question with some info. I’m 75; I mostly walk 9 holes, occasionally 12 holes; I never play in the rain or if there is a good chance of it according the forecast; I carry 8 clubs; the clubs have jumbo grips; I need to carry the bag, my clubs, some balls, some tees, and my rangefinder; I don’t need an apparel pocket! I golf to enjoy being outside playing a sport I’ve been at for 70 years. I’ve been using a Sun Mountain 2.5 bag for about 10 years that needs to be replaced. So my question is: Is there an inexpensive stand bag that meets my criteria?

Cannot believe you didn’t include the MNML MR2 (newer improved version of the original MR1)–most innovative bag available IMHO
Solar panel power source to keep all your running electronics fully charged with no worry of running out of battery power
All magnetic closures–no zippers to break or jam.
Fully customizable optional hand painted graphics.

Was hoping to see how the new sun mountain c130 hybrid did. Disappointed they didn’t send one your way to test.

Ping’s Hoofer bag is fabulous except it is a wrestling match to get the clubs out. I would buy one tomorrow but even on their website the latest purchasers complain about the clubs being difficult to pull out of the bag.

I have been using them for 25 years and they aren’t a problem when used properly. Because the bottom as the kick plate for the stands you have to stand it upright when inserting the clubs. Only people that have problems are the ones that jam clubs in or if they have oversized grips which almost all stand bags outside the tour ones struggle with. Roofers are not for everyone but if you walk exclusively like I do it is the best bag for the job.

Used to be a Hoofer guy, but the quality doesn’t seem to be there and, at least on mine, you can not detach the straps…If you primarily push a cart or ride in a cart, the straps just get in the way, but on the hoofer you can’t take them off. Did you guys test for that???

Changed over to a Stitch….Highly recommend

Izzo Lite for $130 is a great stand bag and a solid deal.

Vast majority of golfers should switch to a cart bag. You’re either riding or pushing a wheeled cart. Why do you need a bag with legs? Plus, a cart bag can hold lots of beers and extra golf balls. Always popular with the riding guys.

Year after year these companies refuse to put full-length dividers in their 14-way bags and it’s a massive hassle. The top-pick Hoofer may be the biggest culprit here, especially with midsize grips. Just constant tangling issues to the point where I don’t even want another one of their bags.

Curious if ping has learned their lesson that 1/2 or even 3/4 length dividers aren’t good enough for club arrangement. Their hoofer pro bag didn’t have full length and at that price point, pulling a club out of your bag and 3 more come out with it was really disappointing. Have they updated to full length?

Nike Sportlite! One of the lightest, has a putter well and is $160. Easy choice. Not even on the MGS list.

Love the updates and what companies are trying to do to fit all aspects of the golf community. With class and budget shown within their lineups. I am updating my bag this next fall, so having something like this is nice to help with that decision.

My take away from this review is that there a good number of quality bags available today. There were 36 stand bags from 27 different manufacturers withing 0.5 rating points (or 5%) of the top rated Ping Hoofer.
Ping certainly stands out with four of the top ten picks, but there doesn’t seem to be enough overall significant difference to count out the other 26 other bag manufacturers’ models when deciding on a new bag.
The article does have good bag advice and decision making points. But since there’s not a lot of delineation, break out the ones with your features you need the most and look for color and style that you like the best.
Even though the top ones all score well, it’s much better to look good than to be good.
