Owala FreeSip Sway
What We Like
- Ergonomic Carry Handle
- FreeSip technology (Sip or chug)
- Tapered Design Fits in Cupholders
What We Don't Like
- Only two size options (30, 40oz)
The Bottom Line
The Owala FreeSip is a nice upgrade to my original FreeSip bottle. I love the new handle, and the tapered design fits more easily in my cupholder. All in all, it’s a worthy sequel to my favorite water bottle of all time
For years, I’ve gravitated towards one insulated water bottle: the Owala FreeSip. It’s seen me through plenty of triple bogeys and devastatingly warm rounds on the course. But all good things must come to an end …
I’m finally replacing it. With what? Owala’s latest and greatest in FreeSip techology, the FreeSip Sway. It has everything I know and love about the old FreeSip bottle, but it now has a grippy carry handle and a tapered design that makes it much easier to fit in a cupholder.
There are few accessories, if any, that are as important or useful as a good water bottle. For my money, there isn’t one right now that beats the new Owala FreeSip Sway.

Once you have a good water bottle (HydroFlask is mine), “upgrades” are irrelevant. Spending another $30 (or more) to get a water bottle that’s, at most, incrementally better than your current one is money that IMO would be better spent on balls or other replaceable gear.
