Under Armour Raises The Bar With New Gold Edition Of Its Flagship Golf Shoe

How do you make an award-winning product even better? Turning it to gold is a great place to start.

Piggybacking on the success of its 2024 Drive Pro launch, Under Armour is taking 2025 to reintroduce golf enthusiasts and performance junkies to its flagship footwear by introducing a new, limited-edition colorway inspired by a growing list of accolades (and the upcoming Players Championship).

For those who’ve forgotten, here’s a quick refresher about the tech that made the Drive Pro and Drive Pro SL among the best golf shoes of 2024.

  • Swing Support System for 360-degree lockdown
  • HOVR and Charged Cushioning for comfort and impact protection
  • Directional spikes (Drive Pro) for utilitarian traction

Go for gold

While the changes to the Drive Pro Gold Edition are merely cosmetic, they tell the story of how Under Armour views their role in helping the golfer.

“At Under Armour, our mission is to make athletes better, and this shoe embodies that commitment by delivering tangible performance benefits. The chrome gold outsole plate isn’t just for looks—it highlights the biomechanically engineered Swing Support System” said Jake Haley, Head of Golf Footwear at Under Armour.

“Every detail of the Drive Pro Series has been designed to provide measurable results on the course.”

The Drive Pro and Drive Pro SL Gold Edition golf shoes will retail for $170 and $150 respectively. This flashy shoe is available now in Europe and will make its way to the U.S. in July.
