This Is What Happens When A Grip Company Listens: Meet REVL

The SuperStroke putter grips are kind of killing it on Tour right now. There have been numerous wins so I just had to try the putter grip Rory McIlroy used to win the Masters. It hasn’t come off since I tried it. However, SuperStroke wants to be known as more than just a putter grip company. They just stepped things up with the launch of the REVL line. I’ve seen it, I’ve tried it, and nothing would stop me from recommending it.

What Is REVL?

REVL is the first major release from SuperStroke since they acquired Lamkin in 2024. Each grip is stamped with a Lamkin 100 badge, an acknowledgment of Lamkin’s century-long legacy of grip engineering. The goal with this REVL series was to combine Lamkin’s legacy with SuperStoke’s attention to feel, design and modern material technology.

What makes REVL stand out?

  • Genesis+ material: A proprietary rubber that’s soft, tacky, durable, and built for all-weather play.
  • Ultra-Tac X pattern: A raised X-texture that boosts traction and helps maintain consistent grip pressure.
  • Real feedback meets comfort: Designed to feel responsive without being harsh.
  • Cold-weather flexibility: These grips stay playable even when temps drop.
  • Value – Each grip comes in under $10. Yes, really.

The REVL Lineup

There are three grips in the REVL lineup, each built for different preferences. My favorite is the Element and I’ve put it on my 7-iron for now while I decide whether to put these on the rest of my clubs.

REVL Element

  • Hybrid build: cord + ACE material on the top hand for traction, Genesis+ on the bottom for feel
  • Designed for all-weather performance and responsiveness
  • Ideal for players who want control but don’t want to feel like they’re holding onto a brick

REVL Player

  • Full Genesis+ construction, a classic performance-type grip
  • Moderate texture and feedback
  • Clean and simple, for golfers who want something reliable that performs round after round

REVL Comfort

  • Larger lower hand simulates extra tape wraps
  • Soft, cushioned feel with great tack
  • Ideal for players looking to reduce grip pressure and tension in the hands

Final thoughts

While I’ve only had the REVL Element style on my 7-iron for a few days, I like it. The blend of control and comfort is hard to beat and they may be going on the rest of my clubs.

SuperStroke took what golfers were asking for: a grip that performs in any weather, feels great in the hands, doesn’t cost a fortune, and actually delivered on it.

If your grips are sliding, feel harsh, or you want something that makes your clubs feel new again, give REVL a shot. It also doesn’t hurt that the price is right.

The Element grip is similar to the Lamkin UTX + grip for the top hand and uses the lamkin Genesis material as used in the Lamkin Sonar + Black grip minus the reduced taper of both Lamkin grips. Interesting but I’m not sure how well the two materials would feel in the same grip.

Grips are a weird one for me because I’m the only jackass that bought the Golf Pride Concept Helix and love them. Lucky I bought like 30 of them, so I’m set for a while. I have a few clubs without them (can’t use the CT10 sensors with them, so driver and wedge are Tour Velvet).
