Best Putters of 2026 (Test Data From 75+ Putters)

If we took every putter tested across all three of our 2026 Most Wanted categories and simply ranked them by PuttView handicap score, the top 15 would be zero-torque putters. Every single one. If that’s the kind of list you’re looking for, head straight to our 2026 Most Wanted Zero Torque Putter results.

But most golfers aren’t shopping across all three categories at once. You know what style suits your eye and your stroke. So instead of a list that zero torque wins by default, we wanted to show you the best performers inside each category: the top five blades, mallets and zero-torque putters of 2026.

Top 5 best blade putters of 2026

The Mizuno M.Craft Osaka ran away with the blade category. It’s great for short and long and held strong at medium, which is tough for a blade putter based on 2026 results.

What makes the two PING Scottsdale models interesting is how differently they got to nearly the same overall score. The Anser 4 was the stronger short-putt performer while the Anser 2D posted the best long-putt number of any blade in the entire test at -9.3. If you struggle with longer putts, the Scottsdale Anser 2D should be on the list.

PutterPV HCPPV Scores
Mizuno M.Craft Osaka-5.5Short -6.5 / Mid -1.8 / Long -7.4
PING Scottsdale Anser 4-4.5Short -6.3 / Mid 0.3 / Long -5.6
PING Scottsdale Anser 2D-4.3Short -3.4 / Mid -0.9 / Long -9.3
Evnroll Origin ER2-3.8Short -3.6 / Mid -0.1 / Long -8.0

Top 5 best mallet putters of 2026

Bettinardi taking the top two spots won’t surprise anyone who follows equipment testing but the Ben Hogan story is interesting. The BHM03 is the most balanced putter in the entire mallet top five. It has no weakness. Two Ben Hogan mallets in the top five at a price point well below the Bettinardis is good news for mallet shoppers. The Cleveland HB Soft 2 Black Retreve also makes its way into the top five.

PutterPV HCPPV Scores
Bettinardi BB 6.0-6.3Short -6.5 / Mid -1.6 / Long -10.4
Bettinardi BB 7.0-5.9Short -7.4 / Mid -0.1 / Long -8.5
Ben Hogan BHM03-5.7Short -5.2 / Mid -5.9 / Long -6.6
Ben Hogan BHM02-5.7Short -5.0 / Mid -4.0 / Long -8.9
Cleveland HB Soft 2 Black Retreve-5.7Short -5.8 / Mid -1.8 / Long -9.3

Top 5 best zero-torque putters of 2026

The Odyssey Ai-Dual S2S #7 leads the category with strong performance from every distance.

The Sub 70 011-SQ is worth a second look. It posted the best make percentage of the group at 50.5 percent and beat everyone on short putts. More broadly, seeing Sub 70, Vice Golf, and Wilson all crack the top five is good news for golfers who don’t want to spend $400 to get zero-torque performance. The category doesn’t have a budget problem.

PutterPV HCPPV Scores
Odyssey Ai-Dual S2S #7-8.1Short -7.9 / Mid -6.2 / Long -10.4
Sub 70 011-SQ-7.7Short -8.1 / Mid -4.9 / Long -9.7
Vice Golf VGP03 ZT-7.6Short -7.9 / Mid -5.9 / Long -8.6
Wilson ZT Lakeview-7.5Short -9.0 / Mid -4.3 / Long -7.4
PXG Bat Attack ZT-7.3Short -7.2 / Mid -6.0 / Long -8.8

What about make percentage?

The average make percentage across all 79 putters tested was 44.3 percent. Zero-torque was the only category that beat it, averaging 46.9. Mallets came in at 43.8 and blades at 41.9.

Final thoughts

The data across all three tests tells a pretty clear story. Zero-torque putters are performing at a level that traditional categories aren’t matching. There are still plenty of good blade and mallet putters in the test and, in the end, you need to go for a fitting and see what works for your stroke.

This is a joke right? You are seriously damaging your credibility – no TaylorMade Spider when it outsells EVERYTHING else and is the most used putter on the tour and you don’t even mention last year’s honoree of the “Most Wanted” – the Wilson Infinite Buckingham as part of the mallets. I’m wasting my time here.
