Who Is It Not For?
❌ Players looking for something big. The Traverse is the smallest of the PING cart bags. The DLX or Pioneer would be better if you want a larger bag.
❌ Anyone with a large putter grip. With a smaller-than-average putter well, the PING isn’t a great choice if your putter grip is oversized.
Why Buy
We named the PING Traverse the best lightweight cart bag of 2024. Weight is not as much of a concern when shopping for cart bags as it is for stand bags but it should be. At some point, you’ll have to hoist your bag on and off the cart or in and out of a car and a few less pounds may do wonders for your back.
In addition to the Traverse’s weight, testers loved its smaller footprint. However, if you have a lot of gear to bring with you, the Traverse is probably not the best choice.

❌ Players who want storage. Although the Loma has good storage for its size, it lacks overall storage space which you’ll see in some bigger Sunday bags.
❌ Golfers who want to carry more than four clubs. The Sunday Golf Loma is best used for a par-3 course where you only need a few clubs.
Why Buy
Some Sunday golf bags are just small and others are small but also do a great job utilizing their space. The new Loma has some of the best zippers and a large frosty pocket. It weighs a little less than three pounds.

Let’s not forget the Sun Mtn 2.5+ which is nearly identical to the 3.5, only lighter for those who carry more regularly!
