adidas Celebrates World Cup With Messi Signature Golf Shoe

A Lionel Messi golf shoe wasn’t on my World Cup bingo card.

And it surely wasn’t on yours.

But I can’t think of a more interesting way for the Brand With Three Stripes to celebrate its most iconic athlete.

It’s a culture crossover that may not make a whole lot of sense on paper. But the game of futbol (or golf, for that matter) ain’t played on paper.

Introducing the adidas CODECHAOS Messi, adidas’s celebration of Messi, Argentina and their World Cup title defense. It’s the brand’s first-ever Messi-inspired golf shoe. It relies on tooling from the popular CODECHAOS line and shares aesthetics with the newly released F50 El Último Tango boot.

You’re still getting all of the great performance features that are synonymous with the CODECHAOS line, namely the TWISTGRIP traction and a full-length BOOST outsole. It’s really the “packaging” that’s different here. The F50 boot-inspired upper with that classic Argentina blue and gold is what makes the CODECHAOS Messi a true Messi signature golf shoe.

You can shop the limited drop starting June 17 at adidas and select retailers.
