First Look: FootJoy Premiere Series Pastels Golf Shoes

FootJoy is sprucing up their ever-popular line of Premiere Series golf shoes for spring with the introduction of the “Pastel Pack”. The collection consists of four different styles, three for men and one for women.

The Premier Series has prestige for a reason. FootJoy Premiere Series golf shoes are perennial high performers in our testing, where they especially stand out in the stability category.

On the hunt for a new pair of golf shoes? These four styles have arrived just in time for Easter and The Masters.

Release Details

  • Available on Thursday, April 6, on FootJoy.com
  • Premiere Series Field (M) in three colors, Premiere Series Issette (W) in one color
  • Powder Blue, Primrose Pink, Hazy Yellow
  • Worn by Will Zalatoris, Cameron Young and Max Homa at The Masters

Pretty in Pink

The FootJoy Premiere Issette golf shoes in the Primrose Pink color.

Both the Premiere Series Field and Premiere Series Issette (women’s exclusive model) will be offered in what FootJoy is calling Primrose Pink. The pastel pink hue that envelops the midsole is nothing short of gorgeous.

If ever you needed an excuse to buy a pink golf shoe, there’s no time like the present. FootJoy knocked this color out of the park.

Blue is Your Color

The FootJoy Premier Series Field golf shoes in the powder blue color.

Let’s not overlook the Powder Blue colorway. Available only in the Premiere Series Field, the soft blue is plenty vibrant and pairs perfectly with the crisp, white leather upper. This pair reminds me of the lyrics to an old John Denver song … “blue is just a Kansas summer sky”.

The Powder Blue FootJoy Premiere Series Field is the perfect way to upgrade your wardrobe for the start of the golfing season. It’s still plenty traditional, with just enough color to give you some street cred.

 Hello, Yellow!

The FootJoy Premier Series Field golf shoes in the Hazy Yellow color.

The Hazy Yellow Premiere Series Field is the sleeper shoe of the “Pastel Pack.” I’m not generally a fan of yellow (sorry, Hideki), but this one stands out to me. Perhaps it’s giving off too much Peeps vibes for some but I’m all for it.

If you want to stand out on the course for something other than your terrible short game, the Hazy Yellow color is an easy way to draw some eyeballs.

Parting Thoughts

The powder blue FootJoy Premiere Series Field on the course.

If you’ve read any of my First Look pieces, you know I’m a big fan of departing from tradition. In this case, I feel like FootJoy did just enough to stick with their roots while adding some extra flair that golf has started to crave.

Think of the “Pastel Pack” as a gateway to better style. If you’re looking to dip your toes into something that’s a little out of your wheelhouse, this is it. In this regard, the FootJoy Premiere Series Pastel golf shoes are a massive win.

I foresee both the “cool” crowd and the traditionalists having a favorable feeling towards this springtime release. But, as always, I’ll wait until the comments start flooding in to make any judgements.

How do you feel about the FootJoy “Pastel Pack?” Sound off below.

The Premiere’s are great looking shoes, but the pastel colours are odd and a bit unexciting. Where’s the Master’s green? If FJ want to spice them up a bit, then they should embrace the G/Fore style. The Premiere’s are the best shoe on the market though for traditional style and class.
