This Hat Has a Secret Design That’s Perfect for the Course

melin HYDRO Links Neon

What We Like

  • UV-activated Paisley Design
  • Sweat resistant and anti-microbial
  • Three color options

What We Don't Like

  • Can we get an orange one next time?

The Bottom Line

melin’s new HYDRO Links Neon collection is a show stopper. The hidden paisley design is activated by UV rays. The stronger the sun, the stronger the pattern becomes.

You all know I’m a big fan of melin hats. Besides being one of the few companies that make a hat that works for those with large noggins (ie, me), melin packs so much tech into their headwear that goes unnoticed.

They’re lightweight, breathable, highly sweat-resistant and even float in water. But their latest special drop, the HYDRO Links Neon Collection, has another hidden trick up its sleeve.

On the outside, it looks like every other melin hat. But under the UV rays of the sun, the real magic starts to happen, and a hidden paisley pattern starts to appear.

It’s pretty darn cool and totally inconspicuous. As if the blinding neon color palette wasn’t enough to grab your attention.

You can shop the various colors and styles of the HYDRO Links Neon Collection now at melin.

I am bald and I sweat a lot. Bought one to try and get a hat that kept sweat out of my eyes. MELIN DOES NOT WORK FOR MY SITUATION. It is a beautiful product and very well made, but it just does not keep sweat from my eyes in heat of summer.

who cares if it floats in the water…it’s a hat, not a PFD.
how is “THE PRICE” not in the ‘what we don’t like’ section
you gotta be kidding me with this. I thought MGS was about saving players money on quality gear not getting them to waste it on hats that “have magical paisley prints”…

In fairness, if you’re also a boater and your hat flies off (happens to the best and the rest of us), a floating one can buy you some time.

$79 for one hat is absurd.

Hmm, I don’t know if I would wear a hat that has a hat company logo on it. I have other things to wear and show off, like favorite sports teams or national park stuff. It would have to be a really good hat. If it fits and feels really good then I could see that being possible. I don’t buy hats like crazy so spending 2x or 3x on one could be justified if it’s much better.

Come on Man! It’s a hat $79. It’s like they say a fool and his money are soon parted. Only a fool would spend that much for a hat.

Crazy prices. Golf equip & gear is dear enough, let alone paying that price.

Totally agree that price for a cap is double what a good golf hat cost.
