About the Partnership

Todd Snyder is no stranger to the world of golf fashion. Snyder and FootJoy teamed up for their debut collection in 2021. The fashion-forward, often polarizing pieces have proven successful. According to Snyder’s team, the brand has seen 50-percent year-over-year sales growth since the debut collection with FootJoy. When the opportunity to collaborate again presented itself, Snyder says he was eager to bring something even more iconic to the table.

“I am so excited to be working with FootJoy again to create a collection worthy of the pro tees. We’ve taken some of our favorite design details from the golden age of golf–including the luster of mercerised cotton sweater polos and the brogueing on a bespoke golf shoe–and combined them with state-of-the-art technology and modern style.

“Because one thing that I’ve learned in my years on the links is that you can’t always be the best player in your foursome but if you’re wearing our collection you can certainly be the most stylish.”

Does becoming the most stylish golfer in your group sound like something you’re interested in? Here are a few pieces from The Back Tees collection that will make you stand out from the sea of khakis.

Premiere Series Wilcox & Field Golf Shoes

FootJoy X Todd Snyder Wilcox & Field Golf Shoes

If you’re expecting the FootJoy x Todd Snyder golf shoes to come with old-school metal spikes, you’re sadly mistaken. That said, both the Premiere Series Wilcox and Field golf shoes have received a luxury makeover. Supple pebbled leather and elegant patent leather work in tandem to create an iconic, yet modern, golf shoe experience.

Pique Polos

No apparel collection is complete without a good polo or two. The Pique Polos are reminiscent of those worn in the ‘60s and feature the old-school look and feel with a boost from modern technology. The Pique Polos are made from what FootJoy is calling ProPique, a moisture-wicking and anti-microbial fabric with plenty of stretch.

Shorts and Joggers

The last time Snyder and FootJoy whipped up an apparel collection, both shorts and joggers were on the menu … and they went fast. For this year, both the Traveler Shorts and Camp Jogger are returning, shrouded in a timeless seersucker cotton.

Is it far-fetched of me to think that Jack Nicklaus or Gary Player would slay in a pair of these joggers? I don’t think so.

Conventional But Not Conservative

FootJoy x Todd Snyder black tees apparel collection

The FootJoy x Todd Snyder Back Tees collection is full of other goodies like bucket hats, shoe bags and even a flamboyant sweater polo.

Whatever your taste, The Back Tees collection serves as a good reminder that golf fashion is not (and should not) be universal. I love it when designers like Snyder and traditional brands like FootJoy choose to leverage what makes golf fashion so traditional and turn it into something … untraditional.

You can shop the entire FootJoy x Todd Snyder collection now.

I’m gonna pick up a few polos. Only $115 each. LOL Actually, really nice looking clothes, but I’m sure they’ll look better on the male models than on me. So I’ll stick to looking for (& occasionally finding) Peter Millar polos at Marshalls!
