Traditionally, Callaway Apex Pro is one of the best irons in Callaway's iron lineup. This year is no different as it excels for distance in our player's iron category. Callaway Apex Pro claims the title as best for distance. Unfortunately, with distance, there is generally a loss of accuracy. This is the case for the Callaway Apex Pro.
► You prioritize distance: Callaway Apex Pro is the longest iron in this year’s player’s iron test. If you’re a better player looking for extra distance, Callaway Apex Pro might be worth considering. For 60% of our testers, the Callaway Apex Pro 5-iron was the longest iron in testing out of all of the other iron models.
✖︎ You prioritize accuracy: Yes, Callaway Apex Pro packs a punch in terms of distance. However, it lacks the accuracy and control that other player’s irons possess. It ranks towards the bottom in our accuracy scoring category.
Taking into account total distance and carry distance, our distance scoring is a metric ultimately telling you the total yards achieved by the club.
