I’m a Professional Shoe Tester. These Are The Coolest Golf Shoes of 2025

When we test golf shoes, we focus on traction, comfort and stability. “Coolness” isn’t part of the official scoring but that doesn’t mean we don’t have opinions. Here are five of the coolest golf shoes of 2025. Most weren’t part of our formal testing as they’re fresh releases but if you’re the kind of golfer who brings a little swagger to the course, this list is for you.

adidas Coursecup Spikeless

The adidas Coursecup Spikeless brings classic adidas Originals styling to the course. It’s a blend of streetwear vibes with actual golf technology built in. The shoes feature water-resistant full-grain leather, a Gripmore® outsole for traction and an Adiwear base.

It feels more like a sneaker than a traditional golf shoe. For those who walk and prefer that type of feel, it could be a good option.

We haven’t formally tested this shoe but it makes the cut for golfers who want vintage style without sacrificing wearability.

PUMA x Realtree Royale

With the PUMA x Realtree Royale collab, you get camo with class. The Royale features full-grain leather, a FLEXSPIKE outsole for grip and a ProFoam midsole for cushioning.

It’s aimed at the outdoorsy golfer who wants a little edge and isn’t afraid to stand out. We haven’t tested the performance tech here but if your style leans more “back nine” meets “backwoods,” this one fits the bill.

NIKE Air Pegasus 89 G

This isn’t a new release from NIKE but it’s still cool. Additionally, it is worth noting that NIKE did not exactly dominate our 2025 testing.

We still think the NIKE Air Pegasus 89 G is cool.

Wet-rubber traction, a hidden Zoom Air unit in the heel and throwback design cues from the original Peg ’89 make this one of the cooler options available.

FootJoy New Wave Traditions (Limited Edition)

The FootJoy Traditions shoe did show up in our 2025 testing. While it wasn’t a tech-packed powerhouse, it was comfortable. Think of it as the relaxed cousin of the Premiere series, same dress-shoe style, lighter feel and better comfort scores.

The limited-edition colorway for this New Wave model adds a touch of extra flair. If you want a traditional golf look with modern comfort and some great colors, this is a good choice. Just don’t expect elite stability or cutting-edge design features.

Under Armour Forge 96

The Forge 96 is all about retro value. At $100, these are one of the most affordable, cool-looking shoes available in 2025. Inspired by ‘90s sneakers, it features water-resistant mesh, upgraded foam and a grippy outsole.

You’re not getting luxury materials here but if you want a shoe that brings solid comfort and plenty of throwback style without emptying your wallet, this is a pair to consider.
